Thanks...and this season, finally, Dallas met December with it's black 'n blue, and owned it!! Tough team!!

Quite a disparity between Dallas' offense and that of the rest of the league. I didn't realize it was that lopsided.
Let's see where that takes us going forward. Hopefully, the running game will continue to roll as it has so far. It's encouraging to know that we're on a roll at just the right time.

The 20 offensive TD is a new regular season record for December. It's also a new post-merger record for the last four games of a season, breaking the old mark of 19, set by the 1971 Cowboys and tied by the 2011 Saints.

The all-time record for the season's last four games is 21, held by the 1953 49ers.

On the other end of the spectrum, how is it even possible for an NFL team to only score 2TDs in 4 games? And half the teams in the league only scored 2 per game over the last quarter of the season. The Boyz were able to do that in the first quarter of every game.

Our four December opponents ranked 29th, 28th, 24th, and 32nd in fewest TD allowed. Our next three most likely opponents (Det, GB, Sea) ranked 7th, 15th, and 1st respectively.

Of course, the Seahawks did not play up to their ranking against us in October.

Defensive third down percentage.

Season: 89 for 204, 44% (tied for 27th)

Week 14 (Bears): 2 for 10, 20%
Week 15 (Eagles): 5 for 11, 45%
Week 16 (Colts): 5 for 13, 38%
Week 17 (Commanders): 4 for 12, 33%

December: 16 for 46, 35%

That 71 team may be my favorite of all time. They found themselves 4-3 after being beaten by Chi at Soldier Field. They reeled off ten in a row the last winning SB VI. About the same story as the year before except Dallas lost SB V to Balt.
