Ford isn’t going to sign with anybody for 15 mil a season. He is going to get the going rate for top notch pass rushers. Which is closer to 18-20 mil. Don’t get hung up on the “LB” distinction.

We are speculating about what the Cowboys were willing to pay Lawrence. The issue however, is it might be that he is demanding a deal closer to Donald and Mack. He is not in their class, not even close.

exactly... and he's the same age as Lawrence. So why not give both big deals that you can get out of each after 3 years (when they're 30) for zero or very minimal dead money?

Ford isn't available. He's just another edge pass rusher that won't be hitting the open market.

No. It doesn't translate perfectly to 4-3 RDE. It's a completely different position. Some guys can do both. Most can't.

Sure, in a limited pass rush role. That's not exactly realistic considering what you'd have to give up for him.
