Deep down, you already know what is going to happen in New York

I have absolutely no reason to believe that a Romo led offense is going to score just 10 points on a Giants defense we shredded 2 weeks ago. We're going to win this game, now what happens in the playoffs nobody knows, but we will win Sunday night.

And since you're so sure of what's going to happen, why dont you bet your posting rights on it.

Why should a person bet their posting rights on an opinion? Will you bet your posting rights that the Cowboys will win? I don't know who will win but he does make some valid points.

I hope the Cowboys win but I won't bet anything on them winning or losing.

This OL will struggle on the road with what will surely be the loudest NY home crowd ever. They struggle against decent defenses anyways, but now they will be slower off the ball and trying to recover against defensive players that physically outmatch them. Their only hope is a double-dose of Romo-magic and a solid ball-control performance. It's highly doubtful this defense will magically transform into a playoff caliber defense, so it's all on the offense. (sound familiar?)

Please put your account on it. Promise us if the Cowboys win you will take your whining, crybaby, pessimistic, attitude and go away forever.

Dude, just because he doesnt think Dallas is going to win he should give up his account?

I am hoping for a win, but I know we have lost 6 straight Sunday Night games, play terrible in prime time, have a defense soft as Charmin, and Romo has a busted hand that will not heal 100% by game time (broken blood vessels that lead to excessive swelling can take up to 10 days to fully heal).

Based on these things I do not think we are going to win. Does that mean I am not a real fan?

Yep, and we beat the 49ers (who beat the Giants). We crushed the Seahawks (who beat the Giants). We beat the Commanders...twice (who beat
the Giants...twice). So that logic reallly doesn't work.

Great points, I'll buy that logic. Hopefully the Cowboys pull it out against NY but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little apprehensive about their chances. Here's hoping for the team that showed up against Seattle and Washington and not the their alter-ego that showed up against Arizona.

Nothing galls me more than some imbecile judging who is a "real fan" and who is not.

deep down i think we're 8-8.
I agree. We are better than last year, and will get better next year. This was a transitional year. No two ways about it.

I think we should go ahead and play the game and see what happens. There are times when the prohibitive favorites get their heads handed to them, which leaves all of the experts scratching their heads while trying to explain to their audiences how they could have been so wrong.

I would like to believe this is one of those games. A few weeks ago we played them a game that we barely lost 37-34, and today everyone seems to think we don't have a chance.

We put up 34 points against them on December 11th and today we don't have a chance? That is just silly, and I'm thinking that it is going to be all downhill in NY this weekend after the ball drops on Saturday night.

I'm of the mindset right now that somehow, someway, we will lose the game. Maybe we play tough and blow it late. Maybe we don't even show up and it ends up a laugher. Either way, we lose.

My only hope is the QB. He's the one player on this team that I completely trust to be good enough next Sunday.

I do not know what will happen in this game and that is the truth. I will find out what will happen as I am watching the game.

I also trust Ware and Lee to show up like they have all season. Problem is we need more than 2 defensive players to show up and I'm not very confident that'll happen.

Why is it that whenever somebody posts anything unfavorable about the Cowboys here there is an immediate movement to discredit that person? The OP is entitled to his opinion and quite frankly he has some pretty good reasons for it. The Giants almost beat the best team in the league (Packers) the same week we lost to one of the worst teams in the league. On top of that they did just beat the Jets, a team that defeated us. The Giants have as good of a WR corps as there is in the league, a Super Bowl winning QB, a strong running game and one of the best pass rushes in the league. We have a strong group of WR's but an injured QB throwing to them. Our top RB is on IR and our top backup is playing injured. Our 3rd RB wasn't even on the roster two weeks ago and unless your last name is Ware, you can't even get to the QB without an all out blitz.

Not realizing there is a very strong chance we may lose doesn't make you a better fan, it just makes you naive.

because his reasons aren't very good. He's predicting a blow out as if the two teams haven't met this season.

we already played. All of his reasoning is as if we are predicting the outcome without any knowledge of a head 2 head.

additionally, he gives their team the benefit of the doubt and our team the worst possible outcome despite the fact that both have the same record and an equal propensity for not showing up.

I'm not saying we're going to win, i'm not even saying that we're not going to get blown out. both are possible.

But coming on the board to declare its over because he's a pessimist is better meant for a fortune cookie unless he's got an actual warrant for backing it up

Yes the Defense Scares me, but if Romo is anywhere near 100 we will win

He was 100% three weeks ago and we still found a way to lose. There is no bigger Cowboy fan on earth than I've been for over 40 years, but this team has done absolutely nothing to make me feel confident about winning a game for the whole ball of wax on the road. Do I hope they win? Hell yes. Do I think they CAN win? Hell yes. Do I think they will? No, but I sure hope I'm wrong.

I predict we will get our arses handed to us. I see nothing in this team to make me think we will rise to the occasion. This team has been a huge disappointment all year and to think I predicted a 13 - 3 record at the beginning of the season. I believe another crappy season will end this week!!!!!:banghead:

Honestly, I'm not feeling confident about this game...I wish I could say otherwise but that's the truth.

Even with Romo's banged up throwing hand, no Demarco Murray, a hurt Felix Jones, and a weakened O-line...I'm still not as worried about our offense as I am our defense. We haven't shown the ability to stop teams when it matters most in the 4th quarter, and I believe that this game will be another close one that will come down to the very end.

I really hope that we can pull this one out; I would love nothing more than to see a dominant performance by our D...but their inconsistent play and tendency to fall apart in the 4th quarter makes me gun shy and not at all confident about their ability to step up when our offense really needs them the way they do today.

Sadly, I agree with OP.

Hope they prove me wrong :(

I was talking about this game with my best friend who is from Brooklyn, NY. After the good-natured back and forth trash talking he got serious and said "Really, man? You really think the Cowboys are going to beat the Giants in NY with Romo's hurt hand and no secondary?" I said "Dude, we're gonna win!" He said "Ok...let's pretend some bad guys have taken you and your family hostage. You're tied up, they have guns to your heads and say 'Pick the winning team and we let you live'...who do you pick?" I surprised myself by saying "On my families' life I'd have to pick the Giants."

I guess what that says is I HOPE the boys win but I expect the Giants to.

Always take the better QB going against the weaker secondary with your family on the line. Both of those point to Dallas right now.
