If we've all learned one thing this year, it's that this team can't be trusted.

But, I THINK we should win.

I'll be comfortable ONLY with a 3 possession lead with 5 minutes to go.....but I don't think it will come down to that. We out-played them the last time, but just not where it counted most.

I mostly agree but keep in mind that wise NYG fans have learned the exact same thing about their team. This is shaping up to be a battle royale for a playoff spot between two entirely untrustable teams.

Why is it that whenever somebody posts anything unfavorable about the Cowboys here there is an immediate movement to discredit that person? The OP is entitled to his opinion and quite frankly he has some pretty good reasons for it. The Giants almost beat the best team in the league (Packers) the same week we lost to one of the worst teams in the league. On top of that they did just beat the Jets, a team that defeated us. The Giants have as good of a WR corps as there is in the league, a Super Bowl winning QB, a strong running game and one of the best pass rushes in the league. We have a strong group of WR's but an injured QB throwing to them. Our top RB is on IR and our top backup is playing injured. Our 3rd RB wasn't even on the roster two weeks ago and unless your last name is Ware, you can't even get to the QB without an all out blitz.

Not realizing there is a very strong chance we may lose doesn't make you a better fan, it just makes you naive.

Yep, and we beat the 49ers (who beat the Giants). We crushed the Seahawks (who beat the Giants). We beat the Commanders...twice (who beat
the Giants...twice). So that logic reallly doesn't work.

I understand your original point, but it works both ways. There are some posters who are always trying to be positive, but they get lambasted by the negative crowd as being rose-color-glasses-wearing, koolaid-drinking homers, who are too naive to live in or accept reality.

In the OP's case, he's like Randy Quaid from Major League 2 - always whining, crying, griping, talking about how awful this team is, and how it's a foregone certainty we're going to lose. He takes the tone, that if you're even the slightest bit hopeful, you're a damn fool, and he'll get to smirk and tell everyone "I told you so." That's where the hate in this thread comes from.

Most people on this forum - yourself included - come here for good, honest discussion of the game and the team. We don't all agree, nor should we. Some are praising, some are critical. But those that get blasted are those that aren't offering well-thought, insightful, honest criticism. They're pedaling a defeatist, I-know-everything-and-you-know-nothing mentality. They promote agendas based on nothing more than either a personal hatred for a player or a coach, or a perverse desire to somehow make themselves feel better, by attacking someone that they would gladly trade places with in half a second.

Deep down I know the Cowboys will win this coming Sunday Night. Sorry I do not share the doom after the Philly game. The game was pretty meaningless. One I saw Tony was going to be alright I counted my blessing and look forward to facing the Giants for the division. Yes that's sound advice and a smart man should think that way -- but it's our Cowboys, and for most on this board that type of rational thinking will disappear come Sunday.

Those few hours and the aftermath, one way or the other, will bring out emotions that will be in no shape or form stress free.
