That dog suffered some serious internal injuries.

Yep. Wouldn't surprise me at all to find out they had to put it down.

I feel bad for the dog but that deer does not see the difference between that dog and a wolf or any other potential predator.

A canid is a canid in momma deer's eyes. She doesn't discriminate in protecting her baby from one wearing a collar and smelling like Alpo over any other.

If it lived through the broken ribs. That dog got its butt handed to it. :lmao2:

I thought the cat was dead as soon as the doe smelled it on her fawn.
A doe would have had to land a solid enough blow to overpower a fully grown cat. They are far too elusive for most other animals.

Her reaction and Deer in general reaction is one of flight or fight. In this instance the fawn is having hard time standing let alone walking as it falls on the side walk. At that point she is looking at any potential danger and sees it in the dog.

Yup ..... any human who would have ran at them would have suffered the same fate as that dog.

People do not understand how powerful "pretty little deer" are.

We found on with its hind legs wrapped in wire on the back of my Dads property.

If my grandpa had not of been there to show us how to handle the scared animal she prolly would have killed both of us.

I wonder if that dog was a pitbull or a rottweiler what the deer would have done...those dogs would completely **** it up IMO.

Doesn't even had to be a hard-core dog. I've see normal temperament dogs play-fight much better than that wussy dog.

Holy ****!

I hate people who just scream.

That deer should have went after her.

If your dog is getting pummeled like that you HAVE to do something.

We would've had some deer meat after I got through with it.

I've seen a buck win vs a mountain lion on tv...but it had a full rack of horns. They're pretty tough. Of course I dont think the same would have happened to a scrappier dog...but that dog didn't see it coming and got blind sided.

I don't blame the deer and I wouldn't want it killed for doing what it really should do...protect it's fawn...but you HAVE to get that deer off that dog...NOW!

I was almost that dog memorial day weekend. I saw this guy and started clicking away, but he kept coming toward me dipping his head and taking closer steps.

I wanted the pictures, but I thought if this thing charges me, my *** is going to get hurt.

I think this definatively proves that Cats are indeed smarter than dogs, as much as it pains me to say.

The cat was smart enough to get the **** out of dodge. The dog wasn't even aware he was being charged till he was already getting some ground and pound action.

If you watch the video, the dog looks like it's just about to try to cross the street, it's not even looking at the deer as the deer rolls up on it.

The cat was just curious, the dog would have killed the fawn.

How're you so sure?

I would have beaten the crap out of that deer for that. That was just uncalled for and would've had my adrenaline flowing.
