Defending AJ Green

Mo Claiborne lock down corner.

Wow I just adjusted my fingers to type that. Seriously though our secondary I believe is actually the strength of this defense. Which leads me to believe the player which may have the single biggest impact in the game (on defense) will be Demacus Lawrence. If we can put some legitimate pressure on the ginger we will be alright. I was so encouraged last year by his play that I am still expecting double digit sacks this year.

The secondary is getting some turnovers but I feel two things are a result of that.

Poor QB play from the opposing teams and Dallas' running game is keeping their defense off the field (which is keeping them fresh).

Man. this is soooooo generic.

I hate that excuse.

In reality aren't 95% of interceptions 'Poor QB Play'?

I mean, unless they're color blind, what QB purposely throws interceptions?

I disagree with you. I'm not taking anything from them but look at the missed opportunities from the opposing QBs that Dallas played against. The passes were either under thrown or over thrown.

Regardless, the secondary will be tested this Sunday and against the Packers in a couple of weeks. Those teams have better QBs than the teams Dallas played against in the first four games.

This is simple, what would BB do?

He would single Mo on the #2 receiver, put Jones on the TE and double cover Green.

Never Ever leave Green in single coverage. Jam him underneath, intimidate him over the top. And then light a candle (Prende la vela.)

Isn't that Poor QB play?

I mean if a receiver falls down or runs a wrong route........that's not on the QB.

But poorly delivered footballs..................

I'm not debating to be an ***......rather, I'm just voicing my opinion.

in my opinion doing anything else other than having Mo play tight bump and run with Wilcox playing every down with the intention of laying green out would be a failure. A deep safety should be watching green every play unless the quarterback has handed the ball off. Taking Green out would be huge and if we can successfully do that, our secondary has taken the next step.

Nah. He might end up hitting Mo instead.

I was picturing the same thing. Wilcox takes a wrong angle and knocks Mo out with a season ending shoulder injury.

I'm a little more worried about little Bernard and Hill since we've been slightly struggling against the run.
