Looking at these Championship games what seems to be a common theme is we need to bolster this Defense to top 5 with a murderers row of a front 7. Even with Denver's safeties out do to injury, because they had pass rush they pulled it off in the end.

Defense will not improve as long as Marinelli ignores the DTs,he has ignored Dts in the draft and we have the worst Dt in the league right now.De production will also be low without good DTs pushing the pocket

By the same token, dallas is 100% doing it right because denver got theough new england's pathetic o line.

Yes.he has influenced our FO where they will not draft draft DTs high.If you dont believe me than google Stephen Jones comments on the matter.He thinks he can get by with Jags at 1tech.at some point you have to draft talent at Dt our your whole Defense will be stagnant and not improve no matter what you do at other positions.

I'm po'ed that the top of this draft is so weak. There's no Khalil Macks in this draft.

Guess it makes drafting a QB easier.

You say this and Texans had I believe the #1 D coming into the playoffs and basically got shut out on O. Its TEAM with a strong D that helps. D can't win a game with no O or QB.

No it didn't.

NE carved up SEA's vaunted Defense all game.

And If SEA pulled it out with a last minute drive it was Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch that would get the credit.

Neither Defense played well.

agreed. you have to score points to win

i do, however, believe an elite defense is far more vital than an elite offense to win the SB.. but yeah, you need at the very least a mediocre offense

Right! Texans were just a perfect example of great D who got after people and just a pedestrian O that won't help you in playoffs
