And sadly, it was ALMOST enough. This is the playoffs...sometimes shootouts like this happen and you have to find ways to pull through. No excuse for Byron Jones on the last completion but also, they should not have been in that position. They gave the offense the chance to put up 35 points and win the game but the offense couldn't take advantage of it.

When you're playing against HOF QBs in the playoffs, very rarely can you shut them down. Rodgers, Brady, Peyton, etc. have had very few playoff duds in their career. However, that doesn't mean that they are unbeatable...you just have to be able to convert when you get the chance to bury them. We didn't today.

Rodgers is on fire, but his receivers are also catching everything, even when he misses...diving catches, twisting catches, contested catches with DB raking, sideline toe drags, and the TEs both get deep, making catches that would make any WR envious, not to mention the backup TE catching a long pass that dropped between Lee's arm and shoulder without an inch to spare while falling to the ground...no way he saw that ball all the way. They literally caught just about anything near them.

It may make you feel better knowing that he did the same thing against the Gints.

His arm strength is something else, and I've never seen a QB with better footwork. Rodgers can dodge a defender, and set his foot properly within a second to throw a laser accurate pass. All right I'm done with the Aaron love fest.

I agree about his receivers, I believe that's the result of good coaching.

Jordy Nelson has the best quarterback in the history of the NFL throwing to him.

And he gets open like crazy. Led the league in Touchdowns after coming back from ACL.

But whatever...just one of those white receivers. Can't be any good.

He can throw a 25 yard laser while falling down. He is amazing at times.

Wasnt it 34 points?

And no, Jordy isnt Julio Jones, but he did lead the league in just about all categories the last half of the season...and in TDs the entire season.
So no need to put him down.

I'm sure coaching helps, but you can't really coach great hands, and they haven't been catching everything all year. QB is hot, and so are receivers.

Aaron Rodgers throws everyone open.

Why does it matter that he's white?

I ain't doing that. D played a good game. We didn't even control time of possession and it still took a last second kick for that hall of fame QB to win the game. Rodgers would have gashed us up if he had Nelson given the circumstances.

You don't watch much football then do you? All joking aside, I think you're confusing mobility with footwork. Footwork is usually considered setting yourself up to be throwing from a good base. Where as mobility is the ability to move and avoid rush. Rodgers is incredibly mobile and has very poor footwork consistently. His arm strength is what makes his footwork not matter that much. He gets so much juice on the ball from that off balance flick of the wrist that its almost not fair. I wonder if Rodgers is going to hit an inflection point where his arm strength drops just enough to allow his terrible habits destroy his ability to play QB.

They also (literally) have no running back and at times seemed to be throwing on every down. It's definitely a legend building game. If they somehow go to the Super Bowl Rodgers will become even more insufferable than he already is.
I don't think they could beat the Pats or the Steelers with the defense they have

I don't see how anybody expected them to give up less than 28 honestly.

I get that. But when you ask them to play for 30 seconds and they can't do it.......HUGE PROBLEM. We would've gotten the ball back and won, or had a chance to receive the kick and win it in a TD in OT.

Rodgers could throw to midgets in clown suits. It doesn't matter who is playing receiver for him right now.

might be hottest streak of his career and that is hard to do because he has been on fire for 9 years.

We had a chance to win and didnt. Like when we played them in 2014. Chances to put it away and didnt.
