Defense has a team meeting

Wheels coming off awfully quick.

And the driver needs a meeting about what happened.

“We got to talk to each other like that because the ship is only going to go as far as the weakest person on the boat. So as long as we all in this together, I think we’re going to be great. I know we’re gonna be great.”
Trouble is that a ship built by the Joneses is always going to spring leaks and sink.

The Cowboys’ defense had a group meeting.

DeMarvion Overshown: “Look at ourselves in a mirror. We put what we wanted our standard to be … on the board. We went bullet point by bullet point: Are we holding up to this? Are we being this? As a unit, how can we get closer? What is it?

“Just hearing from all of us. It really wasn’t like a fire drill conversation.
It was more so what can I do to help you? What do I expect from you on Sundays or even Monday walkthroughs?

“We got to talk to each other like that because the ship is only going to go as far as the weakest person on the boat. So as long as we all in this together, I think we’re going to be great. I know we’re gonna be great.”

I want peeps like Q, Von, Clark, Thompson, JPJ, all the vets to be open and complain if they think the scheme isn’t working, they need to be vocal and admit if they aren’t being used right. They are not coaches, but they also may have a better idea of what’s not working than a rookie DC.

I'm very dubious of this so-called defensive meeting. Who said what? Who listened? I just don't think it fixes anything.

Dang, I really thought the rap music playing at training camp would put us over the top.
Just a bit o' curiosity. I wonder if Junior curated the rap offerings. Or Parker.
And was it hardcore, medium radio rap or Will Smith type rap?

Was Parker there, or is this the dreaded players-only meeting?
Be quiet -- you want players leading and holding each other accountable.

It is like you have never been in a serious work situation in your life.

Good players hold each other accountable.

Good players call out when they don't think others are prepared sufficiently.

Good players call out bad performances.

Or you can sit back and hope the coaches notice.

Again, like you never worked in a real job.
