Overshown isn’t even playing right now. Typically when someone is injured they are generally like a nobody with the rest of the guys playing.

That's not true in football, maybe on the band, but in sports, players know and respect the fact the injuries are part of the game. Many times, it takes a player watching his teammates from the sidelines instead of playing, to bring things into focus.....this guy's is trying to improve this team, stepping up and many fans are making fun of it, I guarantee his teammates aren't.
