Q has made a big diffence.
He is getting help with Clark in the middle.

But Osa is the one really getting the help. For the last few seasons he was about the only
viable 3 tech and would always get worn down in the second half of the season. Still early but I think it is making a difference.

They are finding ways of getting pressure without that Parsons type of pass rusher. EZ, Clowney, Fowler and Williams are making a few plays here and there but Q is the man.

Secondary getting a little healthier helps as well. I think the line play is helping the LBs but the DBs do not look as lost as they were earlier in the season with a hodge podge of backups in the DB corp.

It’s amazing the difference an elite DT makes for a defense. I am so so soooo happy they got Quinnen. He is the foundation of this defense for the next 5 years.

Idk
Lotta dropped passes on the chiefs

It was better but thankfully out offense was the reason we won

Game Information

Notice we got 5 first downs from penalties to KC's ZERO
and they had more overall penalties then we did for twice the yardage

I think giving up 28 to Mahomes is quite respectable considering who we were giving up 40 to earlier in the season

I’ve said this before, many times, but I can’t believe the impact one player has had on this defense. It’s like 2 totally different teams. It’s amazing.

The D has gotten to the point where the offense can win now.. that's enough.
Think about it though.

If we lose 28-24 do you believe this thread exists?

Or do you believe a thread blaming the defense for the loss exists in it's place?

The thing to also consider is that although talent has been added, they still need time to come together as a finely tuned unit.

The trend is a positive one and thats what I've been wanting to see.

Help from the draft and hopefully free agency is essential and I hope this FO keeps its foot on the gas.

The Parsons trade was the catalyst and I sincerely believe that history will show the trade was justified
