We knew our offense would be a juggernaut but we didn’t know how much improved our defense would be.

Leading the league in turnover differential. R U Kidding Me. OMG. When have seen anything like this in 21st Century under the Star.

It’s what we have been missing this era. An opportunistic defense to compliment this explosive offense is a real asset and entity . Which makes a more serious contender than we’ve been in a very long time.

I think this team can hang with anyone in the league at this time.

Oline health, defense.

The best part is this defense is going to get even better. IF Joseph can replace Brown and Jaylon only plays a few snaps a game by the time Lawrence comes back, it could be amazing.

Our offense and a league leading turnover differential is a recipe for success.

If this continues we will be a tough out.

Our line play on both sides has been better than expected, particularly the D-line.

Steele and Osa are the biggest surprises to me so far this year.

And our takeaways of course.

No love for Parsons or Randy?

They can hang with anyone as long as the OL keeps dominating and they force turnovers on defense. If that changes so will the outlook on this team.

Exactly. If the o-line keeps playing this well, and the turnovers keep occurring, this team will be hard to beat. But if either of these stop happening, the Cowboys fortune could change in a hurry. It's a thin line between winning and losing.

I’m normally the optimist here, but I need to throw a wet blanket just to keep our expectations in check

I love what the defense is doing, like many of us. They seem to be more aggressive and reacting faster, but let’s be honest about a few things (And yes, I know we’re missing a few guys)

They still give up chunk pass plays

They still are susceptible against the run (fortunately no team has stuck with the run)

Jaylon might look better to some, but I still see his miscues and poor decision making..and LVE is not playing at his rookie level by any means.

what scares me.. defensively we’re not leading in any category except turnovers. And yes.. that’s prob the most important category. BUT!! Diggs owns five of those turnovers himself. We all better hope his back isn’t a problem.. or this defense may start to be. (Anyone see how this defense was playing in the 4th quarter of the Panthers game?)

My point.. There’s really only 2-3guys that’s changed the outlook of this defense.(Parsons, Diggs, Osa) That’s great.. but we are leaning on them heavily

I'd like to see us sign a big name pass rusher free agent and for depth / experience.

We have to get better. Giving up some points. I haven’t looked to see how good the offenses we have played are. Maybe they are putting points up on all teams. But they are playing better than I thought they would. We have room for improvement on all 3 phases. Some more than others. But I think we will continue to improve and it’s great.

I think we should go back to doing the same things out of the same looks every week regardless of opponent.

Just stack good days on top of good days.

An entire decade wasted on that nonsense.

The defense is still learning and improving. New scheme. Lots of new faces. Lots of rookies. Many missed games.

I still don't think the D is quite as good as some people think but by the second half of the season they might really get it going.

Right now Speak For Yourself leading off the shows talking our Cowboys. This is a good thing.

Ah.....we lead the NFL in turnovers, that is HUGE!

It’s so huge
Also 5 points less a game this year
Yards per game is how defenses get ranked but it’s really a poor stat
Points is obviously more important than yards
Turn overs is really huge because not only did you stop them from scoring but you get good or Atleast better field position for your offense
Those two stats to me are what I really care about the most
