Defense not one sack yesterday

Yes I know back ups played a lot but still can we get a sack. Our defense is geared towards getting after the QB and we couldn't get a sack and we made the QB's look like Tom Brady. Only 2 incompletions by the chargers QB's.

They would have had a couple but they were wiped out by penalities.

It's hard to really judge the D in a preseaon game as it's usually super vanilla crap. With that, I do fear the D could actually be worse than it was last season.

This is technically true. Dallas did not record any official sacks. However, Cameron Lawrence did sack Brad Sorensen late in the 4th quarter. The sack wasn't official because Korey "Lost In Translation" Lindsey's holding penalty negated it. Glad he came to the party but it's time for him to go.

i didn't think it was possible but after one meaningless preseason game, i agree. i get the feeling this defense actually could be worse than last year.

I'm much more disappointed in the defense allowing SD to run at will. Best way to slow up a pass rush is by running the ball and SD did just that

Yes it was and it is more about individual performaces as opposed to Team during the pre season. Having said that I saw some individuals that did some positive things and some guys who had too many negitives. The loss by no means upset me, I'm more focused on these guys learning from mistakes and showing better play in week 2 pre season game.

Simi starting defense. secondary was without Claiborne, Scandrick, Carr, Church and DL was also missing guys. No doubt the guys who did start looked poorly as a unit

I think even with the guys you listed above it will still be a terrible unit.

Our front 7 just looks horrid and I could easily see us being the worst team in the NFL at defending the pass.

Especially if we go back in time to the Campo days of backing our corners 10 yards off the receiver.

We will see, I think adding starting players who were out lastnight will be a big help. I expect the defense will have problems early on having more seasoned vets out there will help quite a bit.

That guy who was supposedly washed up and was going to likely just continue to go downhill.

I've said all along that the supposed demise of Ware was premature and the first preseason game was just the first small sample of that.
