We keep getting reminded of how bad things are when it's the vets who keep screwing up. Lamb, Dak, Diggs, Zack Martin, Steele....these are our highest paid players and these are the guys we should be less concerned with. It's just a quick reminder things need to change and McCarthy should've been fired before Dennis Allen today. The whole stuff I would've got rid of McCarthy and Zimmer. They didn't give Mike Nolan this much grace did they? Trying to remember when they got rid of him...
They gave Nolan the full season, although Zimmer has been every bit as despicable. I would fire him now, Al Harris already has the assistant HC label so whats the hold up?

Nice avi btw

I can't say that because when healthy guys just don't throw his way. We've never seen him and Bland on the field together so I was excited to see that. But this year he's not right. I can give some leeway from injury but this stuff doesn't even look like injury.
They should throw his way because he can’t cover or tackle :muttley:

I mean this year he's doing nothing right. Everyone is playing worse than they did last year....or it's an extension from the Packers game. I dont' know what's going on honestly. Zimmer is a bad DC I don't care what ex player says otherwise. And maybe that's unfair to him because it is year 1 and he doesn't have his guys aside from Kendricks who's past his prime. I think Zimm's job was to turn some of these boys to men and they seem more childish then ever.

Yep I looked it up
Defensive coordinator Mike Nolan and defensive line coach Jim Tomsula will not be returning to the Dallas Cowboys for the 2021 season, the team announced Friday.

Last season, the Cowboys (6-10) allowed the most points in franchise history (473) and finished 31st in the league in run defense.
And Zimmer’s defense is currently on pace for 450 points and 30th in the league in rush defense, absolute disaster of a hire

Ughh....damn well my only saving grace was we'd at least get rid of Zim but they for sure will give him the season then. Damn. And I'm sure in comparison Nolan's defense probably wasn't as bad. If I'm not mistaken I think they were top 5 in turnovers somehow that year lol. And that was the worst defense I had seen to that point.

I dont know if I've just gotten older and less tolerant or it's warranted but I dislike this team more than any team i can remember in a long time.

It’s inexcusable. From the players and the coaches.

It feels like this team is ten years behind what the rest of the league is doing.
It does and that's what's so discouraging. That no matter what we do we will still be behind. The league is in a completely different direction and we are still in the 90's.

Yesterday was the worst game I've seen Diggs play in a long time. And he can't use injury as an excuse for it.
Yeah playing with a tear in the calf, one year removed from an ACL injury, playing with a rookie corner, and no pass rushers is no excuse. Diggs needs to be the best cornerback in football without help.

Not knowing who you are guarding or where you should be on defense has nothing to do with a tear in your calf.

You aren’t the only one. I’m not sure what it is. I’ve heard others say it to. I think it’s a lot of things winning 12 games, losing in the first round…this team has done so many things to this fan base that no one else has done. It’s worse than a bad team. We are stuck knowing we probably won’t get any bette until Jerry leaves and that’s not happening.

Our highest paid defender and "leader" is absolutely killing the team. Fortunately for him he still has a special Jerry Jones cloak of protection.

I've never seen an All Pro do that. Just be that lost. I've never even seen Diggs do it before. I couldn't believe it when I saw them talk about it during the game yesterday.
I could be wrong but it looked like he was complaining to the official about the contact from the other WR. But whether the WR even touches him or not, Diggs never had a shot to get to Mooney simply due to how it was defended. Mooney could have run any route towards the sideline and he's going to be open by 10 yards whether Diggs gets touched or not. This could be a coaching issue because it seems like neither of the DBs had any awareness of what was happening, despite the bunch formation which is generally a tell for some type of pick. I've seen other teams pass these off

He was complaining but he went under the pick and left Mooney open. Had he went over who knows maybe it’s still a catch but he at least is in a position to chase him. I’m more disturbed by how lost he looked.
