It does and that's what's so discouraging. That no matter what we do we will still be behind. The league is in a completely different direction and we are still in the 90's.
It is.

I see no creativity or innovation whatsoever from this organization.

At one point in time, the Cowboys superpower was their forward thinking.

Nowadays, we’re in the opposite direction, fumbling around trying to play catch-up with everyone else.

Ill be honest, that seems more like the play call and the DC than Diggs, who is hurt. He was in no man's land. If he goes deeper to avoid the pick and the WR runs an out for a first down, people would have killed him for being soft and not covering the under route.

Further, someone posted that it almost appears that Diggs expected the outside CB to pick up the guy breaking wide and then the two inside CBs take the two inside guys.

That's what happens when a family runs the front office with no changes at top for over 30 years. Completely stuck. This is why Jerry can only make references to the early 90s when discussing what can be done successfully...

Time to admit Zim is a flop here. He doesn’t have the players to run his scheme and he’s struggling to get them in a position to succeed.

I supported Zim as I felt he would bring discipline to the defense and accepted that it would come at the cost of sacks, and some INT’s. However, the D has been very undisciplined because the majority of the talent is below average. Thanks Zim, but it’s time to move on. Mistake admitted.

He has been one of the worst players on the entire team.
As usual you Jones family members want to blame one player for the Cowboys issues. No Jaylon, Cooper, Zeke, ect….. Now let’s blame Diggs for our team struggles. You guys are predictable..

Not knowing who you are guarding or where you should be on defense has nothing to do with a tear in your calf.
Yeah, the play before he hobbled to the sideline but let’s not see that. Let’s blame him. Cowboys fans looking for a goat to blame the season on.

And btw, this play looks an awful lot like the play SF ran for a TD when offensive PI was not called.

Interstingly, the Giants ran the exact same play against Washington for a TD, but it was called back for OPI, the exact play SF got away with the week before.
As horrible as Dallas has been, officiating is still crooked. I've seen the same things.

Has Diggs embarked on Acho yet like he did last week??
Acho is bigger than Diggs so unless Diggs has his family present he will not approach Acho. That's usually a soft bullys thought process. Now it was Skip Bayless who said it Diggs may puff out his chest and approach by himself

You aren’t the only one. I’m not sure what it is. I’ve heard others say it to. I think it’s a lot of things winning 12 games, losing in the first round…this team has done so many things to this fan base that no one else has done. It’s worse than a bad team. We are stuck knowing we probably won’t get any bette until Jerry leaves and that’s not happening.

True, it feels a bit hopeless now. At this point all I can hang on to is the possibility of change in the off season.

On that play, assignments shift when the inside receiver goes outside. The outside defender should go with him instead of expecting the inside corner to be able to cross through that traffic to cover that receiver.

I mentioned this in an earlier post. I've seen other teams pass these assignments off in almost like a zone, but there doesn't seem to be any communication prior to the snap to sort that out amongst the DBs. This type of look has hurt Dallas all season.

Right. You are basically playing it like a stack, so it should be automatic that outside guy gets guy who goes outside, inside guy gets guy who goes inside. I have to believe instead of our All-Pro/Pro Bowl corner being in the wrong here, it was someone like the rookie Carson. By alignment, he may have had the responsibility of passing his man to the inside and playing the outside route. I don't think presnap communication is necessary there as passing off those routes should be exactly what they practice. If it isn't, that's on the coaches.

It’s amazing how Dan Quinn had these guys playing. I think that was our biggest loss.

nobody needs the video to remember that all three corners somehow pick themselves off and yes Trayvon I don't know where he was running to or where he thought he was running past but yeah he got caught in the wash he totally messed that whole play up but all three of their touchdowns out of the 28 points were wide open and somehow people are like oh it must be our offense we didn't score enough because the defense made enough stops we should have won the game really it's 28 points average but 21 just about anybody could have made those passes I mean they literally were wide open you remember the Green Bay playoff game where that one picture of the wide receiver looks like he's the only person on the football field because they couldn't find anybody else in the picture at all yeah that's what other teams get why all offense don't get that these dudes were embarrassingly wide open and it wasn't just Trayvon diggs Carson was responsible for so much of that misery yesterday he couldn't he didn't tackle I mean he read the play came up goes at a guy's legs like he's like in junior varsity like he forgot how to tackle there were so many missed tackles in that game and so many missed open wide open bus on defense but they're giving them credit because as bad as our defense has been they made some stops and forced some punts so everyone's giving them spots on the back but no those touchdowns were too easy and the only one that was contested was Trayvon diggs and he took his guy out of the game at least I mean it was a perfect pass and a great catch because it was totally covered and maybe he got his head around he may be able to knock the ball but sometimes that happens so at least Trayvon on one on one covered his man well.

I just wanna make it clear anybody who comes in here and says the defense should be given props for playing better forgets how wide open those 3 touchdowns were I don't care if one of them was a short field because of the stupid fake it happens but you gotta be as a defense hold someone to a field goal not give up something so wide open it looks like you're in a scrimmage like you're practicing like it was set up OK leave that guy open on purpose so we can practice.

How is it possible that your starting cornerback does not know who is assignment is on any given play? This is so baffling that I can't help but look beyond Diggs because it makes absolutely 0 sense.
Like @TheMarathonContinues said, "it's a mental." Like Michael Irvin said, "They already made off-season plans." That's the only way it makes sense for me. No way they are this bad. Dez said to blow it up. Fire everyone! Lol Since we can't fire JJ, I would start with MM and Zim. The team is not responding to them.
