Defense tonight came up big when needed

I thought for sure, for a bit, here we go again, defense showing it can't stop anyone late in year.
Was thinking game was over, but realized how hard this team fights. How this team is different. If Tony can do his thing, get us back in the lead at 28-24. Then hoped the defense would be inspired and at least make a stop. Then we would have a chance.

But they created a fumble, and had 2 INT's when needed.

Carter came up big, so no one should knock his play for this week.

D was a hidden gem this game. It's fantastic not watching the opposing team march down the field again and again on us to close the game this time around. I really can't wait to see what they do with an injection of talent, given we keep Marinelli around and McClain as well..

I mean, sure, the defense wasn't terrible when it counted. But it was faaarrrrrr from a "gem". hahaha

If it wasn't for a couple of dumb mistakes (why can't Carr understand the concept of zone defense?) and a missed tackle or two the defensive numbers would look far better.

Crawford and Mincey were terrific.

Defense was on its heels in the third quarter and it wasn't looking good. They got the plays you got to get when you play a Mark Sanchez QBed team though.

The defense did just enough to not lose the game.

They need a lot of work but we got the W so it's hard to hate on them too hard.

I think they owe Mark Sanchez a fruit basket or something. He lost anything resembling pocket presence that last quarter of the game.

Not trying to take away from the D, but still, Sanchez missed several wide open receivers down the stretch.

Luckily Mark Sanchez played like Mark Sanchez........and the D came up with some big TO and timely sacks. Kind of what we've been hoping from this D, knowing they aren't Doomsday. Way to go 'Boys....this win just makes next week's game even bigger.
