Defense wasn't the issue

Going back to the Falcons game and count the Steelers game as well when the defense on the road gave up 17 in a win the defense against Philly was much less the issue then MM and that offense . Constant turnovers deep in your own territory are only going to lead to points surrendered .

On the post game autopsy Broadus suggestion of telling MM hand over the play call sheet to Schottenheimer to finish the season makes sense . If he refuses can him and I guess elevate either Schottenheimer or Zimmer .

That’s where this team is at . Cooper Rush is not as bad as he looked today and Lance is so rusty from lack of playing time it’s quite a mess .

The only 'problem' with the Defense fundamentally, is how much better they looked with Micah....there's no way we can't extend him.

Mukuamu st CB2 provides a better solution than 5th rounder Carson right now . Brutal on a bomb to AJ Brown no safey help for Carson .

The reluctance to change out players by the staff is amazing . Diggs on the other side rarely gets tested teams are targeting # 21

I agree with BB, time for BIG Mike to do less.

Honestly, disagree with Rush though, he’s that guy. Lol

The draft still needs a DT Edge & a MLB early rounds . And to be honest take a CB as well . I’ve said it all along the 25 draft needs to be D heavy , the Commaders have joined the Eagles in offensive competence to score , Dallas has as to combat this to compete in the East .

Lawson was a good pick up . He needs to be in the 2025 Edge rotation .
Yep, im a fan of the pack mentality to pass-rush. If we're going to look at the Defense, it's that the Secondary and LB appear way too passive against the run. Id prefer a more all out offensive approach to getting into the backfield. We've also got enough coverage talent to spot the RB. Give us an identity rather than allow Offenses to dictate.

I’ve seen Rush over the years play a lot better than he did against Philly . It’s either him or Lance rest of this season .

Jerry threw a 4 out the window , Mingo better get early and often targets the rest of 24 . You have to go downfield .

The defense played half decent in the 1st half.

When you're a bad team you never catch any breaks. Just look at the turnovers yesterday. All were in terrible situations.

Can you imagine Overshown and Parsons as LBers in 3-4 ........

BTW.....Overshown reminds me a bit of Raiders former LBer Rondo McClain, same size, height, and speed....Overshown has a little more speed

Fundamentally flawed. It's been this way since Micah's rookie season. Micah's not the problem. It's the reliance on one player's ability for the overall unit to be effective. Overshown will help. But the team needs to acquire more talented DL, preferably DTs.

Obviously this was Rush’s worst game but he’s an extremely limited player to begin with.

That run he had a couple years ago was carried by the defense and a pretty talent loaded offense. Rush is not the guy that’s gonna lift a roster. Ironically his loss in that run was against Philly and people on here were begging for Dak at that point.

That’s why he’s a career back up

Never said Micah was the problem, my point was that his performance shows how much we need him and how he lifts the whole Defense.
I'm saying that the issue, is he's going to get $40m per, which means we're going to struggle as the 3 contracts are going to command 45% of the CAP moving forward, meaning filling out the roster with more JAG's than we normally do.

Oh no doubt. It surprises me that there's still some here that expect to see quality QB play from a player making 2 million a year.

In fact even higher paid backups like Stidham and Lock making 6 million a year can barely keep their teams afloat.

It's almost always a " break glass in case of emergency" situation when backups QB's come in.

And with this cowboys roster?...... good luck

Rush is hot garbage. The entire league passed him over in free agency. His salary is peanuts.

Mingo trade was all about next year.

Not sure Rush could throw a deep ball anyhow. He looked like a highschool QB out there.
