Defense wasn't the issue

That is pretty hard to believe. I don't care what he has done in the past. Yesterday it looked like he hadn't practiced one second all week. He was completely unprepared and looked afraid to stand in the pocket more than 2-3 seconds. Everything he threw was dink and dunk. He looked like a pee wee league QB. This was way worse than FA playing in a preseason game. This was unprofessional. And I would tell him today he better do better next week or Lance is starting and a FA will be brought in to take his place.

Jalen Brooks went up for a mid level pass maybe 15-20 yards and it went off both of his hands . The receivers have to get open and yes catch some tough throws with defenders . Having said that I’m all for a Mike White Ryan Tannehill signing and let’s complete some actual passes downfield .

Not only is Dak extended but evidence says both back ups are incapable and the QB room in 2025 needs new depth . Stuck with Dak not with the other 2

When the offense is fumbling stumbling and stinking up Jeans Art Gallery the 85 Bears would have a hard time saving the Titanic .
See that part I can’t agree with. I don’t think how your offense plays gives you the right to suck. And vice versa. Just because the defense gives up 40 doesn’t mean the offense gets the pass to stink.

Going back to the Falcons game and count the Steelers game as well when the defense on the road gave up 17 in a win the defense against Philly was much less the issue then MM and that offense . Constant turnovers deep in your own territory are only going to lead to points surrendered .

On the post game autopsy Broadus suggestion of telling MM hand over the play call sheet to Schottenheimer to finish the season makes sense . If he refuses can him and I guess elevate either Schottenheimer or Zimmer .

That’s where this team is at . Cooper Rush is not as bad as he looked today and Lance is so rusty from lack of playing time it’s quite a mess .
Good defenses don’t collapse when they are on the field a lot. That’s the job. The defense is hugely flawed inside and too injured outside. Early performances in games is all about smoke and mirrors, stunts and blitzes. But that leaves a secondary in man coverage with only 1 quality outside CB.

Can’t put this debacle on the defense. We had 5 sacks, which may have been a season high. We forced 2 turnovers and kept Barkley under 80 yards rushing. It was a one score game at halftime but Rush and our offense, primarily our passing offense couldn’t generate anything. Rush had possibly the worst performance I’ve seen from a Cowboys QB and that includes some of the eggs by a few of the QBs during the Campo years. Completing 13 passes for only 45 yards seems almost impossible to do. Most of his passes traveled no more than 5 yards in the air. Some barely reached the line of scrimmage. Plus he had 2 turnovers. An absolute embarrassing performance and to think some knuckleheads on this board claimed he was better than Dak. His noodle arm under threw about the only pass he attempted down the field to an open receiver. Never seen a QB dump more passes off at the line of scrimmage. One of the all-time worst performances by any QB. I kept telling everyone this team isn’t close to as good as the team he went 4-1 with. Even with that team his passing numbers weren’t good. He only passed for 100 yards in a win over the Rams. We won with him because of our defense and kicker.

No question I’ve said over and over the 25 draft needs to be D heavy . DT Edge MLB abd DB . However in Atlanta Pittsburgh and Philly the defense was not an issue larger then an inept offense .

Defense played well. I don't want to hear any more, Rush is better than Dak nonsense. He ruined my first in game experience. He had soooo many opportunities it was ridiculous. Guy could not hit the broad side of a barn. That McCarthy offensive game plan was offensive. Just a downer game.
