Two offensive touchdowns in three games isn't fine.

But hey let's blame the defense when they've routinely bailed this garbage offense out!

One has a freakin' backup QB that hasn't been here more than two months. Kinda understandable that it's tough for this offense to drive the length of the field on nearly every drive.

There is no excuse for this defense anymore, turnovers are key to get this offense rolling. Short fields gives us a better chance to get points, 3 or 7. The fact some of you are trying so hard to downplay this is really, really weird to me. I'm not sure if it's the blind love for Marinelli or what.

Who says we need to drive down the field every time? How about just scoring ONE touchdown? They couldn't even score when we handed them points by getting a takeaway. PATHETIC.

We got 3 points from that turnover. TDs are ideal, but 3 points are crucial as well. But again, you have one example of us not getting a TD from inside the red zone; that's not always going to be the case. Turnovers, especially when it creates a short field, often leads to points. This shouldn't be tough to understand, even for you.

It's tough even with Romo to drive the length of the field. You expecting this with a backup QB who hasn't been in our system long is ridiculous. The defense needs to start creating turnovers or they're not doing their job.

When was the last time this team recovered a fumble? How many INTs has our secondary created? We force some turnovers in most of the games we played without Romo and we are looking at some Ws.

They didnt even need to drive the length of the field after that interception, just 15 yards and they couldnt even do that.

How about last week when Cassel turned the ball over in three times all when the Cowboys were on the cusp of getting into scoring territory? That cannot happen. Yeah they need to create more takeaways, but it's tough to do when teams don't have to throw a lot on you and you can't unleash your pass rush because you can never get a lead. That's a factor as well. To score six points in a game, then flat out give 7 points away, and then not able to muster a single TD and then sit there and blame the defense is ridiculous. They did their job. The offense didn't.

My god people, that is one example out of years upon years of statistics. If you get a turnover on the opponents side of the field, it often leads to points. 3 or 7, you will get points. Again; which is easier, a backup QB needing to drive 50-70 yards for a score or 20-30 yards?

You're proving my point here.

How did the Giants win the second game against us? They won the turnover battle. What if we were the ones who created the 3 turnovers? What if we forced at least one damn fumble and recovered it? The outcome of the game would have been different.

You have a backup QB starting, you should expect mental errors.

No defense is perfect... and it's the only thing keeping us in the games... not being able to score TDs is the issue.

But yes no turnovers is hurting

Who is asking for the defense to be perfect? One turnover since the Eagles game is not some small complaint, it's a big factor into why we are losing football games. They are completely failing to do one of the main jobs attached to a defense.

If you win the turnover battle, you most likely win football games. You can't expect Cassle to do what Romo did in week one against the Giants, Romo is a franchise QB for that very reason.

What if we had a competent backup who wouldn't turn the ball over THREE times? Just one less and we win. Blaming that on the defense makes no sense. If you wanna blame some of the morons who play defense and ST I agree that was a back breaker.

Weeden threw 1 INT in the 3 games he started, and we still lost football games. He played well enough to win in the Saints game. Again, tell me, how would that game have looked if the defense didn't drop the two passes Brees threw directly to our defenders?

Unsure what you are still struggling with here.

It's Drew Brees in his house. 20 points in regulation should be enough to win the football game. Weeden stunk in that game outside of that game tying drive. He missed open recievers yet again. 20 points against that defense after they just have up 49 is pathetic.

Weeden didn't play a perfect game, but he "stunk"? No. Weeden put us in a position to win that game, and this is coming from possibly the biggest Weeden criticizer on this board. The defense lost us that game. I gave them a pass due to the lack of playmakers due to injuries, but that excuse is long gone now.

Let me ask you this, do you agree winning the turnover battle often leads to wins? I'm talking league wide here and throughout NFL history. Do you agree with this?
