It is exactly what the Cowboys lack.

So true! Ironic that the weakest link of our team is supposed to be guided by our defensive genious head coach.

What we lack is a better secondary, IMO.

I have no problems with our front 7.

You see what the Giants had on defense, it was what we had in the 90s. It's called speed. That's something we lacked this past season. It's something that bothered New England in the last two games and Wade got the players to get to one of them. So what do you think Wade is going to try to do this offseason?

So true. What the Giants did tonight was one of the most impressive defensive performances I have ever seen.

terrible post, the giants secondary is lacking in talent. yet they got pressure.

Just a terrible post on your part.

Good god, 5 Pro Bowlers, 1 All-Pro and 6 first round picks. All but a few pieces of the puzzle have been assembled and he still can't figure out how to put it together.

I don't see an excuse for the lack luster defensive play. If anything I can point to the LB's and say we need a SERIOUS speed upgrade but it's not like he was with a lack of talent at the position.

Their secondary did pretty good, but it was the pressure on Brady that made the difference. That is ALWAYS the best way to stop a passing attack.
Our D played well enough to beat them, it was our offense who blew it.

Anybody think Steve Spagnulo should be the highest paid assistant in the NFL? ;)

Hmm.

Dallas allowed less points than the G-Men this year.

Dallas had a lower QB rating allowed than the G-Men this year.

Dallas allowed less yards per pass attempt than the G-Men this year.

Dallas gave up fewer passing TD's than the G-Men this year.

Dallas had more INT's that the G-Men this year.

Dallas allowed less rushing yards per game than the G-Men this year.

The only major categories that the G-Men were better at were sacks (which Dallas still had a lot of them) and rushing yards allowed per carry (4.0 vs. 3.8).

Sorry, I disagree.

RW and J Reeves were being picked on left and right down the stretch.

It was no secret.

The Giants secondary, though depleted during the playoffs, TACKLED, played well against top receivers.

Yes, they got pressure, but so did we.

Our secondary is a weak link, IMO - relative to how the NYG have been playing.

Dallas lost to the Giants.

Giants won the Super Bowl.

I give the edge to the Giants defense when it counted.

The only thing that killed Dallas was Reeves........well defensively in the playoffs.......

It was our offense that let us down in the Giants game.....most notably Crayton and Fasano

Great post btw Yak

You stat guys have been saying the same stuff all year. You can take your stats and put them in the garbage along with our season.

Giants beat the best offense in the history of the game. The Cowboys defense got lit up.

I'm not so sure that our Front seven is great. I'd like to see more from the other OLB spot, yeah Ellis did get sacks, but I'd like to see constant pressure from that front 7, something I've not seen since the Haley days here in Dallas.

Reeves was an obvious weak link.

All in all, I really like our defense.

But our biggest problems were bad tackling and 3rd CB, IMO.
