Defense wins Championships

The single game I’m pointing to is THE SUPER BOWL. Your post is referring to winning a championship. The championship is won in the Super Bowl.

Again, what part of this equation is confusing you?

If the Chiefs get to the SB and win the game 13-10.... you can not claim that the defense won the Championship... which is what you are doing.

Of course you can. The championship is not won in the divisional round. It’s won in the Super Bowl. Tampa’s defense wrecked KC and forced the Chiefs to devote all their offseason resources into revamping their offensive line. That’s a textbook example of a defense winning a championship.

the Bills had the number 1 defense in the entire league, and that defense was SHREDDED the entire game. You need a better offense than your opponent. Then you hope the defense can get a few stops, and if you get some TOs that is a bonus. One of those teams was going to lose, and it certainly wasnt because the Chiefs HAD a defense.

No. You need both. If you don't have a D, you won't win the super bowl. The high flying O teams w/ no D always lose to a team w/ a D in the playoffs.
