We ain't going out in first round!!!

I hope not. I have great respect for the teams who have gone 16 games and put themselves into the playoffs I don't expect a cake walk. Dallas will have to go out and play hardnosed ball if they expect to advance and my expectations of this team is to do just that.

This is why I see the gameplan being centered around middle patterns involving Witten/Beasley and Dez. Still run Murray plenty but I see them throwing to Murray out of the backfield to counter their DL.

Which is why I think there is a good chance we lose this game. Missing Hitchens is a bigger blow than people on this board think. He has been our best defender, other than Crawford and O Scan. And our DBs simply do not match up well against Calvin and Tate (and an emerging Ebron). And Stafford always seems to play well in his home town and against us. On the other side, playing a top 5-7 defense. Our O line simply has not seen a D line like DET's since maybe ARZ. This neutralizes our biggest strength (unless we get a big break and Suh is suspended). Their LBs are fast to the ball. DBs are nothing special, but the DL makes them better. Not trolling here, just speaking honestly. I think: DET 27 DAL 20. Would appreciate good analysis in response, not just blind homerism...

I would appreciate you not sharing your thoughts. On any subject. Ever:D

I'll just guess what your season prediction was.

Did I not just see Eddie Lacy run all over the '#1 rushing defense' in the league last night? Granted, his stats weren't the greatest. Murray has a better shot and our OLine is better.

Murray, Randle, Dunbar, and the OLine are licking their chops.

Not sure why there is all this hype about the Lions, as in my eyes I haven't been imp

Exactly, I think that Lions front 4 against the run is a bit overrated as they haven't played many OL's with our talent and running attack.

Losers talk about losing.

Dude is just expecting the shoe to drop. I get it. But I ain't going there. :)

He said he wasn't trolling and wanted to have a "non-blind homer" discussion about how little of a chance Dallas has to win, but notice how many posts he has responded to (the answer is zero).

Defense alone rarely wins championships. It takes balance in every sense of the word to win in today's NFL. Our defense is playing pretty solid, all things considered.

Without Suh Murray is going to gash the Lions, and our O-Line will handle them in the trenches.

This is exactly the kind of ignorant response I expected. Just trying to have a rational discussion of a team I consider a bad matchup and get others' thoughts.

Just on my lunch hour. So am responding now. I think DET's defense is the worst matchup we face all year because our O line will not be able to control the line of scrimmage like it has, and hence time of possession. When our defense has been forced to play for long stretches of time, they have not fared well and have faded as the game has gone on. Now, missing Hitchens, who was playing great, it is a real concern. If Suh does not play, that is a great help. There, I've responded.

3.8 yards per carry by Lacy, and alot of yards after game was decided. I agree our O line is much better. But I would not say it is licking its chops against that DL (maybe now without Suh)

There are a lot of "drive-by" posts designed to incite the masses. Glad to see yours wasn't one.

Green Bay has a middle of the pack defense (pardon the pun) and they held Detroit to 20 points total.

Everybody holds Detroit to 20 points. For all the talk of Megatron they have been held in check all season. This is no time to curl up in a ball and fear the big bad lions. We can beat anybody, defensive warts and all.

Again, the kind of ignorant response I expected.
Forgive my ignorance (but again you said you expected it so I don't apologize ... ignorance all up in your grill ... but I digress....), but just because some Joe Blow shows up and says he's not a "blind homer" am I'm suppose to bow down .... and except every word that comes out of his keyboard as pure objectivety? Well then, you've got me twisted.

Yes, I'm ride or die all the way. Mr. Objectivity's first instinct is to call me "ignorant". Such a turn on.

Yes, I said "losers" talk about losing. I don't think that's calling you a loser but that does say you have a losing mentality. If you didn't have a losing mentality I would think you could find a way to look at this defense in a way where they could win games instead of how they can't compete or stand a chance. That's what winners do. You probably could learn a lesson or 2 from this defense that you apparently have little respect for.

The way they've been playing and produced on the field ... I guess thats too much to ask for a fan of the Cowboys who want to find a way for them to win and make it to the SB. Especially for those who think nothing matters but winning a SB.
