There are still 6 De's on the roster plus Micah gets sprinkled in a bit. Don't they usually dress 4 for the game, plus Micah?
Sprinkled in a bit. He was a DE 75% of the time I think.

That said it was too much!

Looking at that draft again….that draft is a running back away from looking real good.
  • 1 (29): T Tyler Guyton, Oklahoma.
  • 2 (56): EDGE Marshawn Kneeland, Western Michigan.
  • 3 (73): Cooper Beebe, Kansas State.
  • 3 (87): LB Marist Liufau, Notre Dame.
  • 5 (174): CB Caelen Carson, Wake Forest.
  • 6 (216): WR Ryan Flournoy, Southeast Missouri State.
  • 7 (233): T Nathan Thomas, Louisiana.
Agreed
But, ask yourself how good would the draft class look if you take off one of those names near the top of the list and added a RB? The RB class was decent, but not great. And unless they took one with a top 1-3 pick the talent was going to drop off quickly and they were only going to be getting an average back at best and they knew it. In the first it had to be an OT so no RB there. They could have passed on Kneeland in rd2 but DE was/is a big need and after losing Williams I'm sure glad they didn't do it. There was no way they could pass on a talent like Beebe for one there. Liufau was the one guy they might have been able to pass on but they needed LB depth almost as bad as RB. That was the spot to get a guy, but they chose not to do it thinking that there were several ave guys left and they should be able to grab one later. But that didn't happen as they pretty much all got taken in RD4, and we didn't have a pick.

But now I'm still perplexed they didn't add a RB besides the worn out guys we signed in FA.

I think Jaylen Wright would help this team more than Liufau will, and I like Liufau.

You're talking about drafting an LB who's going to make pretty much zero impact year 1 (because rookie LBs almost never make an impact, nature of the position), versus a RB who could immediately get 200 touches.

I'm not as dialed in as I used to be -- what's wrong with Lawson and why isn't he on a team right now?

I was more so thinking never trading a 4th for Lance…get that 4th back take a RB couldn’t ask for a better draft.

I'm glad Jerry has a plan because we are in a bad situation.
Are they even considering their lack of any quality depth? I've heard nothing about bringing anyone in. Typically you lose a key guy and the team is on the market immediately. Not sure that's the case here.

Now make a list of GM's that are still looking at FA's. GM Jethro is not on that list.

You're losing your mind because they're looking at them 24/7 they don't even miss a day on vacation without checking the list lol
