The game really will come down to whether or not we get consistent pressure vs Rodgers and force a couple turnovers and get some 3 and outs. Thankfully-- the Pack are hurting along the OL and have given up 15 sacks in 4 games. We should be able to harass AR-- but will it be enough to get the W?
Our offense needs to be efficient and keep the Pack playing from behind. Keep the crowd in the game-- gain some confidence-- and make them one dimensional. If Irving, Collins, and Lawrence can generate push rushing only 3-- we can clog n cover and hopefully limit giving up the huge plays AR makes his living on.
As much as they are gonna want to be aggressive-- we simply CANNOT lose contain on him. That's when he feasts. Stay disciplined and stay in your gap. We have the skill up front to get him on the ground consistently if we don't over-pursue and let him dance around.
I want to see AR on the ground... often.
I just don't have any faith that our offensive line can create enough holes for our offense to sustain drives. And Dak can't do it himself.
So I expect much of the same... We look good one drive and hit a big play, followed by a 3-and-out.
I miss the days of the 15-18 play, 8 minute drives where we break the opponents will
In saying that, I think the defense will be on the field too much, get gassed, and start getting gashed.
Yup. I'm not saying it's a guarantee, I think it will be close and could go either way but I also think we have the slight edge IF we can control the clock. I'd say we can't let them get ahead or we're f'ed because we'll be forced to pass every play but, as I've said in a previous post, I think McCarthy is an extremely over rated coach and our comeback last year was more due to him getting away from what worked in the first half and taking his foot off the gas trying to be less aggressive....like us in the Rams game.
Have to out score them. Rodgers is going to get into the 30's.
The team needs to play its best offensive game of the year.
Ha...yeah, I can see what you're saying. How about this, some are worse than others? Sounds betterI think McCarthy is overrated too....but when it comes down to it.....all of these guys overrated to me lol. All coaches have a ego and think they are the smartest guy in the room....comes back to bite them on Sundays.
- Rodgers is gonna catch us with 12 men on the field while trying to substitute. There will be a thread bashing Garrett for not having us prepared for that.
- Green Bay tight ends will have a big day
- zeke will get his 100 yds
