Ware gets my vote as well, with Rat second. Brooking has been an outstanding addition to this defense.

While Spencer is much improved, he's not the defensive MVP. Here's my short list of candidates.

1. D-Ware (BEAST)
2. Jay Ratliff
3. Mike Jenkins (Quickly becoming one of the best young DB's in the NFL)

Ware showed last year he was a gifted athlete and best OLB in the league. This year with all the injuries he has been forced to play with he has shown himself as a Warrior as well as a great athlete. Never letting up and played through the injuries and has done so at a high level. Anyone concerned that after getting his big pay day that Ware would take it easy I think he has shown what he is all about.

+1, with Brooking in at #4 and a huge dropoff after that.

He's exceeded my expectations, but no.

How can you look at Spencers stats and not consider him?

Keith Brooking gets the mvp head and shoulders above anyone else this year. He has been huge.

I think Brookings addition added a certain swagger to the defense but I think D-Ware is the catalyst for the unit.

Spencer has been a hell of a lot better than people give him credit for; his future is bright

Yep. Unless Ware get's some sort of injury where he misses a bunch of time he's going to be this defense's MVP for the next 6 years.

Second that. But, I like Jenkins first. He has solidified a position that has been hurting for quite some time opposite of Newman. Henry was good over there. But, Jenkins is gonna be better.

Consider only our Cowboys D.......

Given the way he has played, I'm not laughing. Spencer is my favorite defensive player. But I gotta go with Ware/Jenkins here. We have a lot of good defensive players and I think a case could be made for about half of them.

If we're talking about the New Orleans game, I'd say Spencer. And, if he continues to play that way, then I'd say he's MVP material.

I can see why you'd pick him because he's young and very strong in the run. Now he's coming along in terms of the pass rush and you gotta like that.

Brookings is a huge liability against the pass. He is a leader but not the MVP.

Ware is the defensive MVP again this year because of the plays he makes and the attention he draws from OCs.

Did you guys hear what Phil Simms said during the Charger's broadcast?

"Bring up Spencer's name around the Cowboys and you hear he might be having the best season of any of the defensive players".

When everybody was *****ing about the lack of sacks earlier in the year, I was saying if this guy was getting sacks then he would've been having an all pro type season.
