Definitive proof the base defense argument is ridiculous!

The scheme and zone coverage are what won the game. Yes, the front four generated pressure, but the zone coverage and overall scheme allowed the pass rush to get home.

The Seahawks also disguised their blitz very well. They blitzed Witherspoon, which caused the fumble. Yes, the four-man front was excellent for the Seahawks, but they are well coached and lined up correctly, which can be attributed to coaching.
They abused the LT and LG.

You're right when saying that zone is what hurt them. Match Quarters seems the trend, with nickle CB trending upward in size.

Both sides played really well on Defense. Running game was the difference, to be specific speed at RB.

And when you’re discounting the RB position in the NFL look who was the games MVP . It does so much to help your QB when the defense has to respect your running game . Here’s hoping J Williams is back and Dallas doesn’t decide to go fishing for a RB round 5,
I love Williams and thank he will be back. But we need speed in the backfield. Ive not issues failing fast on Blue and drafting a 5th round guy.

Totally agree.

Both defenses certainly played well. Both defenses was built with free agency and the draft. Jerry you need to take notes.

I would love to have Kenneth Walker as our lead RB.

Scheme can only take you do far. Talent. This is how you win. Great d mediocre offense. Jerry loves him some offense. Defense to him is just boring.

That line up correctly discipline, and good coaching... That's a Hard ask from Cowboys.

I think what your saying is your not sold on Blue as the speed merchant part of the tandem to Williams North South punisher . I hear you but this the “shoes don’t fit I’ve got blisters” and the guy sits the entire yr is over .

Blue has to play has to be incorporated into this offense to give Williams a breather and give Dallas a speed element .

They praised the Seattle kicker...........but with the Seattle D performance, those FGs may not have been enough.

Yep, Seattle changes things up and blitzed more often than the did all season and the Pats weren’t ready for it.

In Super Bowl LX (February 2026), the Seattle Seahawks utilized a disciplined pass rush, recording only
12 total blitzes while relying on a 45.3% stunt rate to dominate the Patriots. Despite the low blitz count, this approach produced seven sacks and a high 42.9% pressure-to-sack conversion rate.

Might want to watch some tape because that's all Seattle did was bring pressure from the CB or safety tonight....and New England never adjusted. Their game plan was to beat the blitz by hitting quick hitters and running screens. Josh Mcdaniels got taken to the cleaners tonight.
Josh never adjusted. He is supposed to be a brilliant O Coordinator and he spit the bit. When the Pats couldn't run the ball they were toast. Also the left side of their O line is slow and weak. That's a recipe for failure.

I am gonna guess that Seattle’s coach knows whether they blitzed more than normal or not

He made himself a pile of money, but I wouldn’t want to sign him.

He has some holes in his game

I dont think the team is sold on him.

I heard Jerry say that renogotiating with Quennin Williams and Kenny Clark will be too expensive, so we’re going to cut them and use that money to bring in a platoon of JAGs at Defensive Tackle.

With all that depth and some “schemes”, we can easily add to our JAG’s at defensive end and replicate all of these awesome pass rushes we saw in the playoffs.
I think we should draft a guard with the 12th pick. I mean can you imagine if Booker or Smith get injured. We need that level of talent as backup to ensure continuity and for the jumbo sets. We get scoring to average about 32 points a game and defense as is We are 13-3 team.

;)

Some of Seattle’s biggest plays were when they blitzed.
The best defense is a defense that puts quick pressure on the QB. Percentage wise more of Seattle’s quick pressures were on blitz’s compared to when they did not blitz.
Its keeping the offense guessing.

On top of that the Patriots LT was just a jag and they attacked from that side a lot.

I don't understand why Henderson was such a none factor......He was the only guy with some speed on their offense....and he was completely ignored.
