Haha. Really?
I am having a hard time understanding the motive behind deflating balls. Once the balls are in play, the refs and sideline crew decide which get used. What would even be the point? It wouldn't benefit either team.
If anything, consensus is that deflated balls help passing because you get a better grip and a softer ball is easier to catch. The Patriots are much less reliant on passing than the Colts.

Exactly. That's a point I made in another thread. The Patriots run a legal play from a legal formation and people accuse them of cheating. Haters gotta hate.I think someone wants to make it a point to put doubt on Pats in this Super Bowl.
It started a few weeks ago with eligible/non eligible ... Reported/not reported player in game...
Actually I learned something today I didn't know: I knew each team brought a certain amount of balls to the game but I thought all those balls got mixed together. It turns out each team's offense uses their own balls, so now I can see how one team deflating balls could be a competitive advantage. I am not saying I believe that is what happened, just that I can at least see motivation. Two things. It rained and I don't know the size of Brady's or Luck's hand, but I think a deflated ball helps the person who has smaller hands much more, especially in poor conditions.

Word I am hearing is that this sort of thing happens quite frequently in NFL games, especially ones played in the cold rain. It just doesn't make national headlines until it happens in a championship game.
Right, that is exactly what Jimmy Johnson said about that whole affair. So I gotta say I think Jimmy Johnson knows what he is talking about. That is funny. Sounds familiar.... They said same thing about pats video taping, "quite common, teams have been doing it for years"
Typical lol
