Deion Branch???

I heard that the Cowboys and Pats are doing a scout swap this week. And I guess the main target for the Boys is Deion Branch. How many of you like this idea? This was reported in the morning news and at rotoworld.

It was speculation in a blog.

They speculated that New England might be the team, then threw Branch's name out there as a possibility.

And the Cowboy scouts are going to have a hard time finding Branch at the Patriots' practices.

No way. The Pats would be stupid to give up Branch. If they did, the Cowboys would have to really open up the change drawer. Shanle, Coleman, and Crayton? (and Hurd?) It would be very expensive.

This is a case of media speculation in the face of facts. It's a fact that BP said any WR we go after will not be a big name #1 WR, which Branch believes he is. If anything we might be looking at a lineman. No way we get Branch.

In a scout swap, wouldn't you figure that the teams were planning to look at guys that hadn't had a lot of game action already? Otherwise, they could just go to tape of previous years. At NE, Ireland will most likely be looking at backup OL that haven't seen a lot of game action.

I'd do it in a heartbeat. I love Crayton, but Branch, Glenn and TO would be the best trio in football by a longshot

I just don't see anyway we could afford what Branch would cost us, and if we do make a trade of some kind with the Pats, it could be for an OL, but no way on Branch.

And, considering we are running a two-TE base, having three star WRs would be JUST what we need.

That would by far be the best 3 WR combo in the league. Branch has incredible speed.
