This post promotes Deion over Witten.

Not saying it is those two...just saying.

Still no response from anyone on this board about my post asking about what Witten brings to the table other than being a clone of the Detroit situation if it works out.

Im not doubting Witten is a motivator...but no one is answering any decent questions about the guys football acumen compared to Deion.

Why would Jerry go Witten, other than to try and replicate Dan Campbells success, over Deion whom has a better resume and supposedly knows x an o's.

I assume Witten knows x and o's, that him and Romo spent a lot of time boarding together talking football...my question is about what Witten brings that is so much better than Deion or some other coach....unless its race related or something.

I suspect Witten can do Dan Campbell like things motivationally. Campbell seems to be more outlaw as he doesnt have a HOF reputation to uphold.

Deion is a proven motivator too.

I dont get why no one is backing up Witten here. I want to hear good things and am open to it. Im not pro Deion over Witten or anything like that...im trying to be reasonable, even if this board is not about reason
Jerry is a dreamer and probably thinks in his mind Witt is the next big thing in coaching. Maybe he will be, but he’s not ready yet. Teddy Bridgewater just won a championship in HS as well. No one is calling him to coach.

Just heard this nugget on The Ticket per David Moore. They asked what place would Deion be of coaches with Jerry and he said #1 and 2. Deion will be here all week.
If this is true and the reports are also true that Stephen and Jerry Jr. are the ones pushing for No-Schott, you have to wonder if Jerry is feeling his own mortality. Maybe he's thinking that he might not be around much longer, so why not give them what they want.

Maybe he is different behind closed doors. But I've never found Witten to be a charismatic guy. He is stiff and boring and strikes me as an overly safe and cautious personality. A lot like Garrett, but in player form.Hard worker, absolutely. Tough guy, for sure. But face and voice of the franchise? Don't see it.

There is no doubt about Deion in that regard. Not that that is the only criteria, but if we are talking pound for pound, Deion wipes the floor with Witten on charisma and leadership.

I heard Junior say that but I don't agree. The Friday News Dump is a thing in most areas, but not in this one with two conference championship games being played tomorrow and media covering them all day.
Having to news dump a Cowboys head coach hire is, twilight zone stuff.

Jerry will not try a news dump to gloss over any new HC hire.
He wants the limelight, he wants to sell it as the next great HC.

Jerry, sitting back on his big boat right now. Smoking a cigar, sipping on some JWB. Laughing and smiling....yeah, keeps them talking about us, we can't win, but they still talk ....

I’m confident the Cowboys have people working for them that monitor public opinions on the Cowboys 24/7. Deion has gotten approval from Ex Cowboy players and now Nick Saban. Jerry wants to sell and sell big.

But having said all that. I think Stephen gets his way and talks Daddy into hiring Schotty. It’s boring and Jerry hates boring

Doing what Jerry wants doesn't result in winning SBs
Never said it did.

Deion isn’t a NFL guy regardless if he listens to Jerry or not.

He’s a clown that will only have success at the college level if he pulls in big name recruits off his name.

If Deion is a clown then Schotty is an imposter...hasn't done sh** either and was asked to come on this staff as a consultant, OC that never called plays - and has had a terrible run game in his tenure here.

Deion is a clown? Deion is someone who barely has a leg that is on the sidelines taking his 1 win program to double digit wins in a Season. So what he has recruits? You think people didn't want to play for Nick Saban?

Schottenheimer is a joke.

Schottenheimer will know actual football better than Deion but Deion will bring a circus and a clown culture.

Either way it would suck but at least with Deion it would be entertaining.

Schottenheimer era will likely be worse than Garrett.
