I remember last offseason when we let Ware go and Hatcher left and all I heard was how our defense was so terrible, be a 3 win team, how we are so stupid.

We finished 12-4 and our defense played pretty decent, especially in creating turnovers.

Losing Murray and the others is just that, we still have Romo and Bryant, still have the best OL, Young players on defense, coaching staff still in place.

Maybe we should wait until after the draft and free agency, after preseason, maybe we should wait until the season starts before we judge how this team will do. I have trust in this organization and haven't been able to say that in many years.

After I look at everything we lost I'm not upset, wish we could have kept Carter with LBers getting thin but still here excited about this season. Improving, still a long time and anybody that thinks we aren't adding talent or players to this season is fooling their self.

Let's go Cowboys quest for 6

Everybody relax, let people and media doubt us.......success will be that much sweeter

Murray led the league in rushing, Ware was a shadow of his old self and Hatcher was a JAG.

Just need to fill the defense back up and have rod work his magic again. This team was 8-8 for 3 years and shouldve been at 10-12 wins all 3 of those years. Too many mistakes made and giving away too many games. A lot of that seemed corrected this last year.

Depends on how well we draft. I'm not worried about the offense yet even without a real starting RB the defense has to improve.

I am worried about our schedule next year! We had an easy schedule this year imho. We caught teams when they were "down" rams, seahawks...

we didn't get hammered by that injury bug. Yeah we had injuires but so did every other team.

Now, as far as I can tell, we are replacing Murray with a rookie and maybe platoon a few other backs to keep them fresh....RB is a question mark now.

We probably aren't getting Hardy. We aren't getting AP.

So. I wouldnt say were a tougher team next year. That may end up the case, but I think right now, I would have to say ....no.

couple that with a difficult schedule.......Ohhhh Nellllly!!!

We had pretty much the exact same schedule that the rest of the NFC East had this year, we still won it.

Ppl blow me with that we played teams when they were down crap. The seahawks had just beaten the Broncos the week before we played them. Come on now. We deserved everything we had last year

We beat the Rams when they were 1-1. Seattle was 3-1. Hardly the definition of beating them when they were "down"

I hate that too. I remember last offseason we had no chance because of how tough our schedule was.

true. But I am glad we got both those teams earlier in the season rather then later. But thats thin and debatable, sure.

And it will be the same next year. If we couldve got AZ with the 3rd string QB, u know? All that timely stuff does play a big role as the season develops.... Especially in this day and age.

We got the NFCE. I figure if any team in that division , in any year, doesn't matter how good they are, if they can go through the season only losing two, then they have done well.

Then we have NE Seattle, GB. Lets say we take one out of three. 3 losses. Miami and Buff wont be push overs. And I think the Falcons or Panthers will step up this year and be decent, say 2 more losses out of those 4. Were up to 4 or 5 losses......And I think that is realistic,,,

Now depending on injuires, bounces of the ball, dumb mistakes, etc etc,,,we could lose a few more...

I think we have more then a good chance to make the playoffs though. Despite losing DM. and the others...it will be one of the most interesting seasons I can remember anticipating in a long long time. This time last year, I was sure it was a throw away year, and that we would be done before thanksgiving......

This is funny. We lose one player, and now our 2014 was overrated by an easy schedule. This time last year, everyone was freaking out saying how hard our 2014 schedule looked; especially the December schedule.

The doom and gloom goggles are on, I see.

well not really. Division winners get a more difficult schedule, in theory, compared to the non playoff teams. Its called promoting parity.

It amounts to two games that may or may not be more difficult.

imho, I think Seattle was struggling early in the season. Locker room stuff, and super bowl hangover, whatever....? there around mid season there was a real question whether they would even make the playoffs.....and I think the rams did get tougher as the year went on...but thats just me. On the flip side I wouldve rather played the niners later in the season rather then opening day.

but your right; its thin. But overall, i think things lined up for us that way....

Well, last season, we did not get worse before it started. The offense was intact but the defense did not take too big of a hit before the draft.

As it stands now, we are a worse team, especially on the defensive side. I expect things to look up and I am not worried about who the RB is going to be, we have a nice line to help him along :)

I am concerned with the front 7. Lost a lot of depth and I don't think there will be significant help coming. This defense needs a Hardy to go along with rotational guys next to him in a bad way.

But, I am not panicking yet, still a lot of work to do. Just hope that they don't settle for lesser players than what was lost on the defensive side.

Again, Dallas will be fine with whoever is running the ball.
