Delirious

Not surprised in the least knew it was going to happen. Had em at 11-5

I'm a little surprised that they can win the SB this year. I thought 2015 was the earliest that could happen

You guessed just like the 10-6, 9-7 and 8-8, 3-13 CROWD.

Yeah.....ur an armchair guru.

Strap up, dude. You're filling in for Garrett next week. :rolls eyes:

I completely agree with you on pts vs yards. This defense is opportunistic, but IMHO is a product of this offense. I think serviceable is a fair assessment.

Defense being opportunistic is a product of the offense? Please explain when the offense had went out in the field and held Colts to 1 yard rushing or even the offense got turnovers and scored TDs like Spencer today and Patmon this season? Explain the offense getting sacks and pressure.

People stop with the same media BS, can the offense help the defense.... yes but by keeping them fresh. That same "terrible" defense has to go out on the field and play, offense has nothing to do with it

blind dogma

8-8 3 straight years with no playoffs compared to 12-4 winning the division?

I understand about winning once your in but considering most people had us pegged as worst team and 3-13 i say we have had a decent season so far. Good news is not over and we have s chance to move on to next round

I'm a sports genius. Where can I find archives? I told you in august this team was a good draft away from dynasty status! Said cows would win div. and enter the 2015 as top 5 favorite to win it all. I'm a genius dont compare me to the woe is us , JJ hater crowd.

Here's another one: Cowboys will be in Seattle in three weeks!

No one else is delirious? Everyone else expected this outcome? Come on, man and woman, fess up to the fact that you thought this was going to be another mediocre year. It is OK to say you were wrong and that they over achieved beyond your expectations.

I bet $100 they would win the superbowl @ 66/1 odds I was so confident.

I freely admit and do not apologize for thinking 5-11. 12-4 and a division title is amazing. I must be dreaming

Preseason I thought at best we would be 8-8 if everything clicked "our way" and I hoped that we'd be in a spot to win the last game of the year to make the playoffs. After week 1 vs San Fran, I honestly thought we'd be 4-12 or 5-11. Romo looked physically done, we were turning the ball over, our defense looked like last year. I still am pretty shocked that we are 12-4.

This season will always be special for me cuz I saw 2 games in person. I was at the Rams game in St. Louis and the Bears game in Chicago. It's been a good year, been a good year

Best tasting crow I've ever eaten. I'm pleasantly shocked how good this team really is.

Most enjoyable season since at least 2007 and honestly I think I like this team's chances more than that one because of the coach and the strength of the team. What they do best and what they've relied on consistently throughout the season is historically what is most successful in the postseason.

The team best equipped to win in Green Bay and Seattle is the Cowboys.

I actually thought teams would figure out away to get the defense on the field for longer stretches than they have done. I guess that is a testament to the coaches.

Absurd.. First of all, keeping fresh is a major factor. Second, high-powered offenses affect how defenses approach the game as well as opposing offenses, the latter maybe taking more risks, leading to more turnovers. Offenses that score forces opposing defenses to take more risks. It's not just 'has to go out on the field and play'. Yeah, correlation doesn't equal causation in the end, but you also play by the trends.

My fault how silly of me to think that Romo, Dez, Murray etc. Didn't play defense.

Say what you want but the defense still has to go on the field and play. They have to make the tackle, pass deflection, fumble, interception, stop the offense going down the field. Give credit where is due, most of y'all was wrong about this team and most importantly about this defense.

It's ok our defense is good and is not just because the offense

Been saying for years, far too many as a matter of fact, that we needed to rebuild our OL. I know I wasn't the only one. Many here were saying it too. What surprised me is just how many wanted to take a very different direction in the recent drafts. So our offensive success wasn't a surprise to me. It's what I was calling for and was sooooooo happy we were finally doing it right.

What was a surprise was our defense this year. After how it fell apart last year, and having lost so many key players prior to the start of the season, I had little hope of making the playoffs. I remember thinking 9-7 only because our offense was going to be great.

I've been waiting for almost 2 decades for this team to arrive. I've always expected a Cowboys team to be like this. A team that is well coached and balanced that focuses on running the ball down our opponents throats. This season was what I envisioned this team to be. Thus I'm more than elated to see that its all coming together.

I think Garrett has done a great job this year and there isn't much to gripe about when it comes to coaching. They all have done a great job. This team has taken up being coached up and is firing on all cylinders. They may not win it all this year. But I feel that the foundation is there for this team to make a serious run next and year and many more years to come. Proud to finally be a Cowboys fan who can cheer for a team that has the potential to win it all.

You said at first they have nothing to do with each other and people are buying the hype of ESPN. Nobody on here said they had nothing to do with each other. They said the way the offense is playing clearly impacts how the defense is playing.

That the O-line needed resources was obvious to even the most casual NFL viewer. Unfortunately, our GM is very slow when it comes to acquiring any kind of rudimentary football knowledge, which is actually quite shocking. How can you be around the game this intimately for so long and think your struggling offense is a Roy Williams away from being a SB contender? Or that picking the best guard in the draft will keep your team mired in mediocrity?

Man makes Matt Millen look bona fide.

I know that wasn't for me but....
Am I confusing you with the "Gameover" who had been a relentless Romo-hater along the line of UFC and others? The one who said they were better off with Orton or even Weeden? That Dallas could never go anywhere with that Romo choker at QB?

Maybe I'm confusing you with another.

Anyway, I have no desire to hijack the thread....it's really just a yes or no question.
