Anyone think Murray can break Barry Sanders record of 14 consecutive games of 100 yards? So would be 8 more in a row to beat it. I think this record is a better feat than the one he just broke,

Maybe but surpassing Jim Brown is a big feat no matter what record you're talking about.

If he breaks Sanders record then he is prob gonna break the single season rushing record and everyone will probably be more focused on that one.

I think he needs to average like 135 ypg from now to break Dickersons record

I don't know about 14 straight... But I think he could beak single season record.

132 ypg x 16 g = ssrr / 2112

Listed below are the current team rushing defense rankings. Teams already played are shown in blue and upcoming opponents, which have not yet been played with the exception of the Giants, are displayed in red.

Rank_Team_Yards/Game
1. Arizona Cardinals 72.5 (home)
5. San Francisco 49ers 84.9
6. Seattle Seahawks 85.5

9. Indianapolis Colts 96.7 (home)
11. New Orleans Saints 103.2
12. Washington Commanders 103.3 (home & away)
14. Chicago Bears 108.4 (away)
15. Jacksonville Jaguars 110.3 (London)

19. New York Giants 122.0
20. Tennessee Titans 123.7

21. Philadelphia Eagles 124.3 (home & away)
22. Houston Texans 125.7
27. St. Louis Rams 145.0

The toughest run defenses are the Cardinals and Colts, both of whom we play at home. In my opinion, DeMarco Murray has a greater possibility of breaking Barry Sanders consecutive 100-yard streak than an impossibility. The main factor will be both his and the offensive line's health.

Now that DeMarco has broken Jim Brown's record, I'm wondering if he'll see more substitution in the following games. The staff might decide to do that to preserve Murray's health and keep him intact for the stretch run. As much as I'd love to see Murray soak up the glory, I'd also like to see the team keep him healthy for the playoffs.

Sooner or later we're gonna get a big lead in a game and rest Murray, which is the right thing to do. No way does he break Sanders' record.

Murray and that Oline can do anything they want. No one can stop our run. Period. Contrary to what others will say, I felt we could have and should have been operating in this fashion for the last two years. The aversion to running the ball almost gave me an ulcer during that 2-3 year stretch while our newly anointed head coach played offensive coordinator. Sure. Our Oline wasn't what it is now but they could always run block. It was the pass pro that killed us over the last few years... Thank you Scott Linehan. A strong offensive mind that schemes to the strength of our O.

That would be incredible. I would really enjoy a run at a record like that or the single season rushing record.
