DeMarco Murray MMA training

I could see how that type of workout would benifet Murray. Thanks for posting it.

Yea looks like it will help him, and no problem.

I love the fact that he is going through that type of training...it's not for the faint of heart! I can't wait to see him get on the field.

Seems like a real hard worker. Willing to do whatever it takes to make himself better.

Goes back to being a high character guy. This pick has Jason Garrett written all over it.

For some reason I feel Murray is going to be a big factor for this team.

he talked about doing MMA training in his interview with sirius after the draft as well as working with Michael Johnson

thanks for posting

I like this pick...

I saw the video of him working out like that.

I am not sure why a lot of the football players done mma train. It is probably the best cardio workout you can do and most of the stuff is not traditional which keeps it interesting.

The Gracie-style Brazilian jujitsu which dominates MMA is outstanding for increasing flexibility, strength, cardio, and body control. I agree, not sure why more players aren't utilizing it.

Randy White studied martial arts and it helped him throughout his career. Andre Tippet is another one who was big into MA.

IMO, flexibility and body control are overlooked by too many players. They tend to focus on building muscle mass and increasing cardio instead.

I just don't think most professional athletes are nearly as competitive as MMA fighters when it comes to conditioning and Nutrition.

I think a lot of guys just do what the team requires.

Add Greg Lloyd to that list. I think he has a black belt in one of the martial art's disciplines.

I wish I could find the one where LaFleur obliterated Lloyd at the goalline. Emmitt crushed him once as well. Lloyd didn't have his best games against us. :laugh2:

Lafleur didn't play in Super Bowl XXX. It must have been a different game that he did that. Week 1 of the 1997 season?
