You had better believe that, if we are to get to that 10-6 prediction that so many of us (incl me) predicted prior to the season, he is going to play another role. Then, when we get to the playoffs, he is going to play and even greater role than he did in the regular season. I don't care about those opinions that he had a minimal ypc and gained less than 40 yards on the ground. We are at our absolute best as a truly balanced offense when DeMarco is getting a strong share of the workload both on the ground and in the air out of the backfield where he is allowed to operate so well in space.

Another reason the Cardinals loss was so big, it showed teams how easy it is to shut our run game down and slow our pass game both at the same time. Load the box with eight every play, blitz everytime on normal passing downs and bet that we won't try and counter that plan with screens and quick passes. Murray has no room, our line cannot pick up the blitz, and for whatever reason we don't seem to adjust.

It needs to change our approach, because Murray needs more touches and Romo needs more time. You can bet the Giants will do the same exact thing Arizona did.

How many teams have ridden a RB to death and shortened his career w/ no results (Houston & Earl Campbell anyone). I think it is unreasonable to ask a rookie to carry this team. Huh? Murray missed all of training camp and barely played earlier this season. He also had 10 days rest coming in to the AZ game. Not to mention he didn't play as much in the AZ game. I doubt he was tired.

I never said he needed to "carry" the team. I said he needed to see a significant share of the workload. We're not a one dimensional offense. No one is asking for 40 carries here. He should receive a significant share of touches from various spots on the feld (handoffs, dumpoffs to the flats, screens). If you mix that up, the passing game wil be what most commonly refer to as a field day. This doesn't mean be predicatable and run/run/pass. It means come with a creative game plan and mix in a good share of DeMarco touches from various areas on the field. Don't get me wrong. I would love nothing more than to see us line up and punch their Dline in the collective mouthes. We need to see more dumpoffs to the RB and screens though. Slow that rush down and kill em in the open space between the first and second levels. We're going to have to utilize Demarco out of the backfield in the passing game more often Sunday night because the Giants are going to be bringing the house to Romo's lap.

I don't disagree w/ what you would like to see us do in a game, but w/o Fiametta we don't seem to be able to run the ball. Felix seemed to do a better job than DeMarco. I personally think we just don't have the coaching to teach these guys anything: Lose one guy and the whole offense or defense collapses...

73 yards on the ground v. Washington and 87 yards on the ground v. Miami.. Although the loss of any cog has a corresponding effect, I don't buy the notion that we can't ge successful on the ground without Fiametta. He has solidified himself as a solid FB but we can run without him back there.

Regardless, Fiammetta is cleared to practice starting tomorrow and will play Suinday night. DeMarco and Fiammetta FTW.

I look forward to getting Fiametta back however I will say that this past game had more to do with not being able to expliot the 8 and 9 men front Arz was bringing.

We were unable to make them pay from crowding the line and running blitz after blitz. Had we been able to connect on some of the deep balls we threw Arz very likely backs out of that front but since that was not happening they had no reasons to back away from the line and that is going to make running with any consistentcy very difficult with or without Fiametta.

1 of the big reasons we could beat the blit'z is because of Pat Peterson....

He is to big for Dez....so we couldn't just chuck it up to him.
