God forbid Murray gets hurt or leaves this team. I love him as a player and a person, the ideal NFL running back in this day and age. But coming off of the news of Todd Gurley's suspension, I would not be opposed to drafting him in the late first if Murray does decide to leave for bigger $$.

Your thoughts?

Dallas needs more defenders. If he is better than any defensive player at Dallas pick, then maybe you draft him if you can't pull off a trade. I think there will be a few good running backs available. He is very good, but Dallas as other needs.

I'd take Gurley if we are picking in the mid low 20s. At that point he is going to be BPA

Gurley would be nice. Hopefully he drops. Although can we really ignore the D Line?

I would look at backs available in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

But there are going to be backs available through free agency.

In the first......yes. We arent pigeonholed to the DL so much we have to pass on Gurley for a lesser talent.

It could be similar to 2010 when we needed OL in the worst way an traded up for Dez when the best OL on the board was Roger Saffold

Ryan Williams is my choice. Provided he has been improving his blitz pick-ups, he'll be just fine in a starting role.

I think AP is a real possibility as well.

It doesn't matter who our running back is if we don't fix the defense.

I think the one lesson we should have learned through 6 games is RBs should be valued over Oline and Dline ten times out of ten

I don't think we need to let Murray go unless the deal is too much. I could see us paying something like $6 million a year, no problem. It's the length of the contract that is the issue.

We really don't need Carr and Claiborne. We are a zone coverage defense and you don't need high priced corners to execute that well. And we can start to look to unload Sean Lee at this point. That's a lot of potential money we can save and keep Murray around and re-sign Dez.

I'll take Malcolm Brown from Texas. He runs with purpose, is a north/south runner, has good enough speed, and doesn't have too many miles on his tires, thanks to splitting carries in Austin with Bergeron and Gray during his time there.
