Demarcus Lawerence on leaving Cowboys: I know for sure I'm never going to win a SB there

He went to Seattle which traded their starting QB and star WR to win one though?
What else is he going to say after signing a lucrative free agent contract with them? He’s going to sound like he’s happy to be there. Fans like you would like to see the Cowboys do the same thing with their starting QB. In your eyes that would be a step in the right direction to winning a championship. The Seahawks weren’t going to win anything with Smith. However, I don’t agree with them trading their top WR. That certainly isn’t going to help their next QB.

I'm frankly shocked so many have a problem with him stating facts. He didn't even say it in a classless way.
I preferred him not to say it at all. Not to protect the Jones clan, but to take the road less traveled with dignity. I liked the guy. I thought more of him than this. Not now. Some things are just evident, and need not be said. Because yes, he's correct. But that's not the point. I think he may have said what he did because his pride is hurting. Down the road, he will likely regret it , true as it is. Let's not forget he's responsible for our failures too. He acted like he was not part of it.

He sounds like a bitter loser.

"Fans like me" are glad career losers like him are out of the locker room.

Sorry you'll miss him though.

I take back all the nice things I said about him, lol.

If he actually thinks he'll win a Super Bowl anytime soon with Sam Darnold and after trading away DK Metcalf he should probably be checked for CTE. Let's be real, it's all about the money if it was about winning Super Bowls he would have signed with one of the top contending teams. Plus it wasn't long ago he said he ideally wanted to stay in Dallas, he was probably upset the Cowboys didn't roll out the red carpet to retain him.

Is he going to stay in Dallas after retirement or did he mean that Dallas is home because he played here so long?

Cooks said something as well recently on a podcast. Forget what it was. It's hurt pride and some truth. But players forget the part where THEY were paid to get the desired results on the field. They always leave themselves out of the equation when it's convenient to the spin. Character matters. Maybe cooks has some of those issues which is why he's made the rounds.

If he had to state it in public, fine, include your own self. Own it. He was just as much to blame as the rest of the organization. I could handle it much better if he framed it right.

Bad look for Tank, even though the true fans know he's right.

Dude was a very vocal leader on 6 Cowboys playoff teams that did absolutely nothing.

Same guy who said he was "tired" after getting taken to the wood shed by a 7 seed.

There's only really one more piece of the Garrett era to cleanse from this roster, and we all know who that is.

Well, yeah. He doesn't play in Dallas anymore. Pretty difficult to win one in Dallas when you play in Seattle.

He was in the building. He knows what’s up.
He is/was one of the reasons why they didn't win. Too soft in big moments. Got pushed around by big OLinemen. I guess it never occurred to him that HE stinks and held back his own team with selfishness, undisciplined play and money grabbing. Go buy a mirror when you get to Seattle, DeMarcus

nicely said. And "Clapping Carrot" IMO is the best name on here. I laugh every time I see it.
