Didn't Charles Haley work with DLaw? And I think Hardy has probably been working with him, too. The boy has certainly grown and learned. He seems to be a very good student. And that has come through in his play, especially tonight. Hopefully he will become a very good or great player. I was really proud of him tonight.
Funny thing is, his play tonight wasn't much better than how he's played most of the year. Now he's in the boxscore and he will get some credit when he shouldn't have been ripped like he has been this season to begin with.
First time in the 7 years I've been on this board I can remember a displeasure thread and an appreciation thread about the same player in the span of one day. One minute fans want DLaw losing reps and benched and the next minute he's being hailed a hero. lol
I think this is a case of......less is more. Thought all season...he was being asked to take on the run too much....which wore down his pass rush. He looked alot fresher coming off the long weekend. The one thing people need to know about Lawerence...he is streaky as a player. And I'm telling you right now....he still can take his game to another level we haven't seen in Dallas yet. He can take over a game....be a complete disrupter.
Lawrence finally came out of his doldrums for this game -- here's hoping it's a sign of finally breaking out of his shell and finding himself, once and for all. I've gotta say, it's encouraging to say the least.
Maybe Marinelli simply gave him the green light to just pin his ears back and go for the QB. Whatever it was that gave him the impetus to come out of his shell and shine as he did, I'm really liking what I see.
He had a great game, although the stunting really helps all of our players when the tackle takes out two Olinemen. We did this a lot at the beginning of the game.
