Demarcus Lawrence Defensive End Boise St getting high praise

Bitonio is probably going to be a 2nd-3rd round player. It was a good battle and Lawrence made a few plays, so it was a good game to see how he is against competition closer to what he will face in the NFL. I liked the fact he was not just a one move and give up type. He would bull rush sometimes and used his hands well.

It would not surprise me if he goes after Dee Ford and then people wonder why he did in a few seasons.

If we pulled off something like the trade down/draft Frederick move again this year with Lawrence, I'd be satisfied with the pick in the first. At 16 I think BPA will rule otherwise.

I don't think he's Dware, but Chandler Jones or Brian Orakpo upside I do see.

I'm not sure where the Chandler Jones comp is coming from. Jones was almost 2" and 15 lbs. bigger than Lawrence at the Combine. And although Lawrence is "long," his arms are actually 1.75" shorter than Jones. Just not seeing it line up well enough to make that comp.

I think he's your typically 2nd rounder. Really good in many areas, but limited in one (burst/speed).

I'm not sure where the Chandler Jones comp is coming from. Jones was almost 2" and 15 lbs. bigger than Lawrence at the Combine. And although Lawrence is "long," his arms are actually 1.75" shorter than Jones. Just not seeing it line up well enough to make that comp.

I think he's your typically 2nd rounder. Really good in many areas, but limited in one (burst/speed).

I think Lawrence has a frame to put on ten lbs easily, as you said almost as long arms and they test out very similar.

Lawrence had a better 40yd and 20yd....Jones was slightly better vertical and broad jump.

In my opinion DL has ten-twelve sack potential in the NFL. Jones may have a slightly higher ceiling but not much.

I've always thought it was telling that the other Jones brothers swear Chandler is the most athletic of them all. If thats true thats saying alot.

If people want DL why not want a WAY BETER player with the same size in Dee Ford in RD1?

Most less than 250lb DEs are going to get beat down and thrown around by big monster NFL OTs, especially over a 2-3 year span and certainly with lead in their shoes.
