DeMarcus Lawrence injured - possible broken foot

Umm Lawrence wasn't carted off the field. He walked off with two trainers but was unassisted.

Seriously, is it out of line to ask if the mods change the thread title? its misleading and while some people love setbacks and failure, the title makes it seem much worse that it actually was.

Is that tweet from @dallascowboys from today showing a pic of Lawrence in a cart also misleading?

For a second time:

That isn't a trainer's cart. They have golf carts set up around the complex to ferry people around. The media and the players have them at their disposal. He obviously could walk as he was leaving the field and then went straight for the carts all of them use to get to the medical area.

He at no point collapsed and could not walk.

Well, if that's the case then I guess the situation isn't as bad. I don't really know what a trainer's cart looks like, just going by what the tweet said.

Obviously they don't want him walking on it. Why would they? They have no idea what they're dealing with yet.

True, I suppose it doesn't really tell us much of anything except they're being precautious.

Its the cart set up like a flatbed to lay the player out on the back. You see them all the time when players 'get carted off the field' in games.

I am sure that is the cart the trainers have assigned to them just like everyone else does but its not the miniature flatbed ambulance that the title implies.

Good point. Theoretically we could say that every injured player is "carted off" then, since I'm sure the majority of them aren't going to be walking there for precautionary reasons. But I can see why "carted off" implies "wasn't able to walk".

That's it!! This beast o-line is no longer allowed to beat up on our no-name redux defense!!!

This is Crawford getting carted off by trainers last year when he ruptured his Achilles and could not walk.

It seems pretty clear to me that Lawrence walked from the field over towards the stands and where the carts were parked and here you see them taking off.

Reporters are supposed to present a clear rendition of events. I do not think that to be the case here.

rolled ankle. nothing to see here. keep him out a couple days and get back to work.
