Why won't they just freaking spit it out? What happened? They've known for hours.

Not necessarily. A lot of times initial X-rays are inconclusive because of swelling. The bones in the foot are small, and fractures sometimes take a bit to show up.

Broken foot = done for the season. They should/will not rush him back for the last month being a rookie with no experience.

With that said, I don't see how he fractured the foot on that play, looks like some sort of ankle sprain, high ankle at worst. But, as I have learned through the Pavlovian(mixed with Murphy) way with this team, what can go wrong.....will go wrong.

Lets hope for the best here, this defense can't afford anymore injuries....starters or depth wise.

He should be healthy by week 4 if all goes well.

we seem to draft a bunch of fragile defenders . This never use to happen when parcels was here. Its unbelievable Lee, Carter , Spencer ,Claiborne to name a few are always missing time due injury . We must not do our DD when it comes to durability .

Yea, jumped the gun a bit there. Was going along the lines of the season starting soon instead of six weeks away. Still, a broken foot will set him behind more so due to not having any practice/camp time and they will have to work him in slowly, even if it is week 4 or 5. Essentially, he would not contribute much this season if this is the extreme case.

broken bones do not worry me, since really there is nothing that can prevent a broken bone or strengthen it beyond what it is..

He'll be back if it is a broken foot. How much he will contribute this year remains to be seen.

Now if our O-line can do this against opposing teams, we'll actually give them something to worry about. Tyron Smith is looking like an absolute monster. he made Lawrence seem like a child on that play.

He's a pass rusher. He should be fine once he gets back.

Well. At least we've been getting good reports on Spencer. Selvie also appears to be playing well. I hate to see any rookie miss camp and preseason. This has the potential to really stump Lawrence's development.

Yes. You totally IR a high pick for something that heals 6 weeks into the season.

Brilliant!
