If the $32 million in year 1 cash is accurate, he’d likely have an $8M cap hit (6M proration of $30M bonus and 2M base salary), freeing up 12.5M in cap space. Cooper is the next contract up and would save roughly another $8 million in space.

I would hope it frees it up as the signing bonus is spread over 5 years, I’m guessing a big portion is paid off next year. His cap hit this year should be well below the $ 20 million.
