So you blame ‘fans’ when players don’t play up to their contract?

Interesting rationale you’ve got there…

Some fans strangely care more about money than actual performance. Lawrence has consistently been the best defensive player on a bad defense.

yup he regularly demands double teams and gets pressures plus plays the run game well, could have been an asset in the Denver game.. ,

just because his sack totals are down and hes been inured doesn't mean he wont be huge asset for playoff run..

So that’s a ‘Yes’ answer from you then?

Strange way of looking at things.

Player underperforms? The fans’ fault.

No. The point is he hasn't uderperformed. He's been on a rotten defense for years. You guys get all up in arms about a contract, and ignore how the player actually plays when it doesn't fit your narrative.

The idea that anyone would actually celebrate one of our best players not being on the team because they think he makes too much money is utterly foolish.

No. We look at things called stats. And we don’t allow Cowboys ‘fan goggles’ to skew those stats, even if we don’t like what they say. You should try it. The only “narrative” is fans obligated to rush to the defense of underperforming players because they have a star on their helmet.

Another false narrative. Nobody is “celebrating “. They’re actually holding players accountable. Such a novel concept. The NFL is a business not a charity. And when a player isn’t playing up to their contract, the team moves on.
