Pass rushers are also notoriously streaky - Ware might be heating up. It is possible but unlikely.

IF he's close to a 100% down the stretch I believe we'll see him get 19 or 20. I'm praying he'll be healthy enough Sunday to make a difference on the field not just being out there.

23 is not impossible but a 20 sack year is very doable for this guy. 20 sacks was his goal coming into the season if you recall.

Both Ben Roethlisberger and Joe Flacco have been sack prone at times this year. If Ware has another 3 sack game, it is possible.

He'll probably end up just short with 20 or so, though

here's my thinking: if he can get to 20 before the last game (5 sacks over the next three games is very doable), then i think he'll be very, very motivated to get 3 sacks that last game..

is it likely? no.. but it's very possible..

Where did I say I had no (or little) faith?

I said Porter has a better chance at it then Ware, and he does. He's only 1/2 a sack behind Ware, but he has 5 games to go, Ware only has 4 games.


And 20 sacks wasn't his goal this year. That was last year.

I'd love for Ware to take the record - it'd finally bring him the accolades he deserves. His greatest honour thus far has been that bronze turkey. :laugh2:

22.5 is a fake record anyway. In 1977, before sacks were an official stat, Harvey Martin had 23.

In 14 games. They went to the 16 game schedule in 1978.
