DeMarcus Ware the face of the Cowboys Defense? (With Portrait Art)

For just under a decade I've lurked the Cowboys zone forums, selfishly (and safely) enjoying the many contributions of its members; the flamewars, the consolidation of all cowboys info, the interesting personalities, and the inspirational 'Believe' campaign.

I thought I'd like to start earning my keep here by contributing my talents as an Artist and creating a series of tribute paintings commemorating the "faces" of the Cowboys Offense and Defense, by decade. Defensive MVP from 2000 to 2010 seemed safe enough to choose on my own, but I thought I'd leave the Offensive MVP open for a vote.

So without further ado, here is my rendition of DeMarcus Ware, Defensive MVP for the new Millennium.

In the end I decided to go with "De Warewolf" theme, which I think was much wiser than my original "sacks full of dollars" idea. So am I wrong in my gut feeling that the Offensive MVP for the last decade is a two horse race between Romo and Witten? Based on the young talent we have on the roster right now, It's easy to imagine having a tough decision to make in the next 10 years....perhaps as hard as the "I love the 90's" edition of this will be.

No offense... and i feel like an *** saying this but Dwares mouth could be touched up..its like his mouth goes to far back..

This is surreal. I've read these boards every day religiously (except for a few weeks after that ugly loss to the vikings where I took sanctuary in a Tibetan monastery) and feel like a fan of you posters, so Hos, Mr.Hos..If I can barely think straight enough to respond to you folks, I can't imagine how I'd feel at the thought of knowing Ware himself saw my work

Also I was definitely leaning towards Witten, simply because he had to take passes from Vinnie Green T , Drew Bledsoe and Quincy & Hutch (that could have made a great T.V. series)

I realize that I will probably be labeled as a jerk for saying this but his teeth and upper lip just look all wrong. Rest looks great but it looks way off to me and not in a good way.

I didn't think it was possible to overdo Ware's smile since it's one of his best and most prominent of features. Perhaps I over embellished it some in my indecision between having him halfway smiling and snarling like a wolf. I'll just have to make up for it on the Offensive Man of the Millennium.

Hos...If you can point him in the right direction of how he would go about showing it to ware i'm sure he would much appreciate it. I know i would have no idea how to get it to him.

I've had many years to get my feet used to the temperature of the zone...the water gets hot but I love this place, and if I'm going to jump in it, I'm going to have to take some love bites from the Piranhas.

As someone with a BFA amongst my degrees, I am no stranger to displaying my work for constructive criticism. Considering he mentioned doing more work in the future, I think it is very relevant what his target audience feels. Or we can act like he has a booger on his face and let someone else tell him about it after he has walked around all day. I guess it's your call. Again, nice work artofvela.

Thanks Mr.Rodgers, but some of us live in the real world. No one was tearing apart this guys life work. We just all agreed on something.
