He's the guy that gives me the willies for this game. He's become an elite back in the NFL and doesn't get a lot of credit for how good he is...plus, he's a "character" guy...

I'd like to see our defense try to take Barber and Burress out of the game. Those two are Mannings security blankets.

Shockey, for all the talent he has, is still going to drop a few balls and put the ball on the ground...Toomer doesn't scare me at all.

Even if this a vanilla D, I think we could overpower teams w/ the same scheme if our rookies had a year or two of strength training and experience. Combine that w/ Parcells going into attack mode when he feels the D is ready and you'll see this defense be very scary.

Yeah, but Ware seems to have slowed down and what is the reason ? What was he doing different in the 1st 6 games that got him 4 sacks ? Last 3-4 games, he has gotten more tackles but less sacks.

The teams as a whole has gotten less sacks the last 3-4 games.

It looks like they have tried to do some things the last 2 games to free him up a bit. I've seen a few stunts mixed in with the usual right and left side flipping. Even when Ware hasn't been getting to the Qb he seems to be disrupting the pocket and he drops into short zone coverage a good amount. It's always a little scary when you see it... You look and your like..why is Ware lined up on Burress? But he's done a good job with it. He also seems to be playing really well on stretch plays, which I'm sure we will see plenty of this week.

Actually, thats true, Ware has been shifting sides past 3-4 games occasionally.

So he is occasionally playing on Left side as stand up rush lbs on occasions. I think from what I can remember mostly on 5-2-4 alignment. I could be wrong on that, but I recall seeing him aligned when they had four DL on the line.

Actually Ware did line up in different positions against Denver. So I don't know what you're talking about.

Ware played a very solid game against Denver -- They only threw 24 passes so the opportunity for sacks was limited. Denver has allowed the 3rd fewest sacks in the league this year -- they don't throw much and Plummer is evasive.

What Ware did very well against Denver was play the run. They didn't get much running at his side -- that really says something about his development.

are we limiting his skills by not letting him play all over the field like he did in college? this young man has a world of talent and in my opinion we need to line him up all over the field, run stunts, etc.

seeing him locked up with opposing 330 tackles is not using this great talent the way he should.

Can you say Mike Zimmer?!

IMO it was always his problem that he isn't able to use his players to their abilities but press players into a scheme where they have to fullfill a defined role.
