We didn't bring in Ware just to get sacks. We brought him here to play outside linebacker, which includes playing the run and covering the pass as well as rushing the passer. And like I said a few days ago, a pass-rusher can have a greater impact on plays when he DOESN'T get a sack than when he does. Yesterday, Ware's pressure caused two interceptions (one of which was wiped out by a penalty). He also had six tackles, including two behind the line of scrimmage and four more that stopped runs for gains of only 1 or 2 yards.
If you compare how Ware played yesterday to how he played against the 49ers, Oakland or the first game against the Eagles, I'll take yesterday's performance every time. He had a sack in each of the other three games, but he played better and had a bigger impact in yesterday's game.
