I keep reading evals that say box safety or nickel corner. We need FS and replacement for MO and Carr first. Seems like we can use depth at corner in this draft to better effect.

He's an exception. You going to advocate drafting a 5'11 qb to replace Romo just because Brees is great? And let's not pretend that a JUCO transfer and 2nd/3rd round prospect is anywhere near a stud, blue chip, top 15 prospect like Thomas was.

You make it sound like 5' 11" and 6' are 7 inches apart......I would bet the average height of a free safety is somewhere very close to 5'11".

Also not many starters in this weak draft. If we can get a guy who can contribute in nickel and dime and possibly become a starter at midway point of the regular season then it should be considered a steal especially in the late 2nd round.

If it happens all the time, give me one example of a confirmed Cowboys leak. Because I'm not aware of any. All I'm aware of are fake insiders who guess and hide behind the term "source".

I just refuse to believe the Cowboys put together a FA plan and a draft board all while leaking information to anyone outside the building so it can become public knowledge.

It doesn't pass the smell test.

Good thing you subscribe to Mike Fisher!

I'm really not impressed with any of the safeties this draft. Don't know anything about next year's draft but I'd assume it's probably going to be pretty high on the list, if for any other reason than competition/depth.

Hopefully Wilcox can turn the corner this season.

Wow, so I watched his other games on draft breakdown. He looks like a guy that shouldn't even be drafted in the NFL. He has basically one good quality -- he can stick to guy's hip in man coverage. But that is outweighed by horrible ability to read a play when facing the QB and quite honestly being the worst tackler I think I've seen of an NFL prospect. If a RB gets tot he second/third level and all that stands between him and the end zone is Damarious Randall, it will result in a touchdown.

What's the difference between that and our bottom half of the second pick? By the way, I have him in my mock in the 2nd.

I hear you. But the 60 vs the 75th pick would be an extra mid 4th rounder.....it's a pretty big difference.
Now,if they value him in the 2nd,then go for it..
