Denny Green, Herm Edwards, Mangini, Romeo, Marty ARE NOT good coaches.
Just like some guys play in the NFL and they are not really good enough but they are.... how u say?.... journeyman.

Guys, you're missing the obvious.
(I'm not judging the coaches, just labeling them as people thought upon hire)

Jerry hired Jimmah, the college guy who was in over his head.
Then the old retread Switzer.
Then Gailey was the Peter Principle- great coordinator, lousy HC.
Campo, ditto.
Retread/burnout Parcells, helped more in the GM role than as HC. Run, run, pass, punt, indeed.
Now we have another Peter Principle in Phillips.

So obviously, the head coach selection will either be a college guy like Stoops (snicker) or a retread/burnout, like say, Mike Holmgren.

This guy will come in, scrap the 3-4 and install the WCO on offense. It'll be 3 years before the team is competitive again, and the young talent we have will be mostly faded. Oh, yeah, and Jerry will draft like it's 2001 again.

Or Jerry promotes Garrett and hopes he doesn't pull a Peter principle.

I want Herm Edwards

Why?

Herm shouldn't even have job, especially given the fact all the trouble KC went through to get him and KC has sucked for the most part under his leadership.

And Dennis Green as Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys would be a horrible idea.

The only "coaching" job that Denny Green every qualified for would be
an assembly-line job stitching "Coach" bags for ladies.
He was never qualified for ANY head coach job. He's a "Title IV", affirmative action baby who kept getting jobs to bail his boss out of any "racism" labels.
He's the poster boy for the NFL rule, saying that you HAVE TO INTERVIEW minority folk for the job, or we'll fine you............

I remember just a few years ago... Herm was lauded for piling up stock picks and putting a good team together. Look at them now. They are horrible.

I would like to ammend my earlier post.

Please Add Matt Millen as NEW GM of Dallas Cowboys.

As long as Jerry Jones is owner, GM and de facto head coach, you can forget about him ever hiring anything but mealy mouthed yes-men for the job of posing as a head coach when they are really only the top assistant coach. Jerry just can't stand not to be making all the decisions about everything. No wonder so many of the players don't care.

I think he's learned a lot from Bill Parcells and is no longer 5-11 head coach, he is improving to 6-10.

It's his team and he can run it any way he wants to and we are free to praise him or ridicule him as we see fit.

I was hoping the Boys would be better this year but it's beginning to look like that's not going to be the case. I'm not sure it would be much different without the injuries. Sure they started off with three wins but they never have looked quite right this year yet. Oh well, maybe they'll get better as the season wears on. Maybe they will find some pride and confidence.

The only candidates Jerry will seriously consider are Jason Garrett and Mike Holmgren, who is leaving Seattle but doesn't plan to coach any more. Jerry has always wanted to bring Holmgren here and has never had a true opportunity to do so. He could at least make an overture.

I still like Cowher, but I openly admit I want Garrett as the next Head Coach.

Not sure why people keep saying this.

He hired Bill Parcells and no owner that is a de facto Head Coach would do this.

Also, I still haven't gotten a legitimate answer from those who believe Wade is a puppet as to who was a better coaching candidate at the time we hired Wade Phillips.

As the GM he is demanding more from the coaching staff. I assume that those who are upset with this would prefer that he be happy with their production so far. The Matt Millen approach appears to be the correct blueprint.

If Jerry walked on water someone would explain it as crap floats.

As the season goes on I find myself caring less and less although it is still painfully difficult to give up on the expectations I have had for this year.

I just have to come to realize that this is a group of individuals who are simply not playing together as a team, but that is Jerry's problem to solve, not mine and I am rapidly getting to the point where I don't care whether he solves it or not.

It's time for me to go to bed.
