Simple question. Why are some people mad at Dennis Houston? I'm seeing a lot of shade go his way when you have veterans ahead of him who didn't do much of anything. CeeDee had 2 catches on 11 targets. Simi dropped a big play. Tolbert can't even get active. I mean, Houston did beat Pro Bowler Carlton Davis for a reception, and whatever happened to letting a guy develop?

If fans are doing that, it's because they are really mad at the Joneses and taking it out on Houston because he was put in the tough position of starting as a rookie UDFA. They would be mad at Tolbert if its was him instead and think we wasted a third-round pick. So many don't understand that these guys shouldn't be expected to be contributors this year, instead any contribution from them should have just been a bonus.

I would rather see him developing on the practice squad. He is not better than Tolbert, imo.

Tolbert can run by people...Houston can't. It is a horrible fit with this wr crew...imo.

He’s a practice squad player… looked too slow to be much more. He may develop into a descent #4 one day but it’s a year or 2 away. They need to get Tolbert up to speed, even if it’s just the slot for this season because he’s the only legitimate WR with something resembling speed!

Simi really didn't drop it. If you look at that play, it was a defensive play.

Houston is Dak's buddy, during the offseason, which is the only reason he's even on the team.

Dak needs to learn how to utilize WRs who have talent, not the ones he's familiar with.

I named him Fe noooo ko after that play.

The ball was coming out of his hands before the defenders arm touched him.

The defender only touched his arm. That should not have kept him from catching the ball.

It.appeared that he closed his hands together one tick too early and only had the tip of the ball because of it.

He only played 23% vs 57% for Dennis Houston.

At least he played, unlike Tolbert.

I still think he can become a decent player. He appears to be smart and hard worker.

- Vasher is odd. He started camp hot then suddenly nothing. That seemed to be his MO in college also.

No hate on Houston, kid worked hard and beat 3rd pick Tolbert to get game time. But, is he a speedster ? Or Amari like route runner or even Beasley isque. 3rd down blanket ? Those things will help the team .

Noah is what we know , possession receiver, but not burner. Unless we make the Ds to respect the other guy , they will be 3 covering lamb and let others be covered by zone. ( You know who doesnt like zone )
