were pretty good last year before collapsing at the end.

Finally, not to hijack the thread, but if their D turns out to be as strong as they look right now, does that give anyone pause about Mike Shanahan after he struggled for years and years to get a decent D on the field?

I honestly dont want any retread. Just say no to any of them. I want the NEXT Jimmy Johnson, not another Bill Parcells or some other burnout coming back for the $$$.

I'm was already leery of Shanahan anyway with his track record in regards to personnel.

Im not sure I would call Shanny a retread just coming back for the $$$. Everything I have read said he spent the off season going from camp to camp scouting every team in the NFL. Doesnt sound like a guy who has lost his fire to me.

Guess we'll see.

I'd rather go with Garrett assuming the offense continues to play well.

After hearing Jerry Jones call Garrett family in an interview last week, there is almost no doubt in my mind he will be the next coach of the Dallas Cowboys. I am fine with it, if that is how it plays out.

This. All day long.

We need to continue with the youth movement, someone that's up to speed and trying to stay abreast with the changing landscape of the NFL right now. We're at a turning point in the NFL where offenses and defenses are changing rapidly -- you take 1 season off from coaching and you're already light years behind. ESPECIALLY defense...I see the Rex Ryan style of pressure instead of "keep it in front" prevent defenses being copied heavily next season.
